Solange in den Unternehmen so gut wie nichts in Schulung und effiziente Verwendung vo n IT-Software investiert wird, ist alles rausgeschmissenes Geld. Ja, das kostet richtig viel GELD! ich schätze mindestens 5 Tage im Jahr sind immer nötig damit die Mitarbeiter effizient und schnell arbeiten können, da sind dann 200 € lizenzkosten im Jahr nix dagegen. -

Aktuell überlege ich, was meine nächstes Mobilgerät wird. Wenn fdroid stirbt, will ich ggf. auf "mobiles Linux" wechseln.

Mit dem Supportende von #Windows 10 im Oktober würden - ginge es nach #MicroSoft - Millionen von voll funktionalen Computern zu Altmetall.
Praktisch alle können durch Upgrade auf #Linux noch jahrelang gute Dienste leisten und so der Umwelt Millionen Tonnen von Elektroschrott ersparen.
Linux und die dafür existierende Open-Source-Software können Windows / MS-Office mehr als nur ersetzen - und der Umstieg ist gar nicht schwer, schon gar nicht mit kostenloser fachkundiger Hilfe ehrenamtlicher Helfer*innen bei der #vhs #Karlsruhe.
Am 18.10. könnt Ihr Euch informieren, Linux auf der eigenen Maschine testen und mit Unterstützung auch gleich installieren.

Finally migrated all loyalty/customer cards to #catima.
The main "blocker" was my desire to have nice looking logos in the overview. After I did that, I could easily export, backup and share it. Totally worth the effort.
Next up: dive into the improved feature-set, like grouping and sorting.

Don't be surprised that some folks are discussing the possibility of implementing #algorithms for #timelines.
Seems inevitable for at least the #explore TL. And probably #Local and #federated, otherwise junk toots will clutter things and the glut will become intolerable.
KEY POINT THOUGH: Here, there are important distinctions:
