iOS 18.6 ujawnia ślady HomePada
W kodzie beta iOS 18.6 znaleziono odniesienia do nowego urządzenia Apple – domowego huba z ekranem, który może nazywać się HomePad. Odkrycie dotyczy grafiki z nazwą sugerującą system „homeOS”, przeznaczony specjalnie dla tego urządzenia, donosi serwis MacRumors.
Podczas tegorocznego WWDC 2025 oczywiście Apple nie zaprezentowało systemu homeOS, ale być może plany te dotyczą przyszłorocznej konferencji.Według przecieków, nowy hub będzie miał ekran 6 lub 7 cali, chip A18 (z iPhone’a 16) i możliwość montażu na ścianie lub bazie z głośnikiem. Umożliwi sterowanie urządzeniami smart home, połączenia FaceTime, funkcję interkomu i być może funkcję monitoringu z kamerą Apple.
Premiera urządzenia była planowana na marzec 2025, lecz została przesunięta z powodu opóźnień w rozwoju spersonalizowanej Siri. Masowa produkcja ma ruszyć w III kwartale 2025 roku. Debiut urządzenia spodziewany jest najpóźniej w 2026 — możliwe, że będzie to właśnie przyszłoroczne WWDC 2026.

I've been rocking this LP3 exclusively for almost a week now. I have some thoughts:
1) yes, getting rid of my smart phone was the right decision. I am happier to be in the moment, I can watch a movie without being distracted etc.
2) The biggest losses for me are
a) facetime/imessage (my son can no longer call me from his ipad)
b) online banking and zelle -

Apple wypuściło aktualizację do iOS 18.5, która oprócz nowych funkcji zawiera również ponad 30 poprawek bezpieczeństwa — jak informuje firma na specjalnej stronie Wsparcia Apple. Dotyczą one m.in. Bluetooth, FaceTime, Call History, CoreAudio i komponentów systemowych jak AppleJPEG.
iPhone 16e z modemem Apple C1 zyskał osobną łatkę – firma naprawiła lukę w basebandzie, która mogła pozwolić atakującemu przechwytywać ruch sieciowy z uprzywilejowanej pozycji w sieci.
Apple podkreśla, że żadna z tych luk nie została jak dotąd wykorzystana w rzeczywistych atakach, ale jak zawsze zaleca jak najszybsze zaktualizowanie systemu.
Równolegle opublikowano poprawki także dla:
- iPadOS 17.7.7
- macOS Sequoia 15.5
- macOS Sonoma 14.7.6
- macOS Ventura 13.7.6
- watchOS 11.5
- tvOS 18.5
Wszystkie systemy giganta z Cupertino zostały zaktualizowane do najnowszych wersji z końcówką „.5” w poniedziałek wieczorem.

Chaque année, c'est la même rengaine : il y a toujours au moins un ou deux élèves de troisième, vers le mois de janvier, qui râle. "Non mais Madame, les sixièmes, c'est plus comme avant. Ils sont trop turbulents, et puis ils n'ont plus le respect des anciens. Nous on n'était pas comme ça !"

Des entreprises collaboratrices ciblées et visibilisées dans la nuit ! Après une première journée d'actions en tout genre samedi le grand jeu contre la #LGV s'est poursuivi en équipe pendant la nuit dans toute la région.
De multiples entreprises liées au projet – bureau d'études, aménageurs, expropriateurs – ont été ciblées par des tags, banderoles, vidages d'extincteurs remplis de peinture et autres petits désarmement facétieux.
C'est le cas d'Artelia, Lafarge, Ineo, Iris conseil, Segat ou encore du projet Euratlantique... dans le même temps des messages d'amour pailletés ont été posées sur les petites gares des lignes du quotidien menacées par la #LGV.

Not just my third-party external Logitech camera, but even the built-in camera in my new Apple Studio Display refused to work. Just a black picture instead. Both cameras worked fine in QT Player, Teams, Zoom, etc. But in the one app where I needed them to work (FaceTime), them wouldn’t. Maybe there is some kind of background process I can force-quit/relaunch via Terminal or #ActivityMonitor to avoid a reboot. Can’t find anything useful about this new #Ventura bug online, though. Sigh.

W najnowszym wydaniu swojego newslettera Mark Gurman ujawnia szczegóły dotyczące przyszłych produktów Apple dla inteligentnego domu.
Gurman przede wszystkim potwierdza, że w przyszłym roku mają zadebiutować dwa modele HomePoda z wyświetlaczami.
Pierwszy, tańszy model (o nazwie kodowej J490) oraz droższy z większym wyświetlaczem i ramieniem robota (J595). Oba będą obsługiwać Apple Intelligence i korzystać z nowego systemu homeOS, bazującego na tvOS.
Tańsza wersja będzie wyposażona w chip A18, wyświetlacz, kamerę do FaceTime i rozpoznawanie gestów. Droższy model ma kosztować ponad 1000 USD. Oba produkty będą wspierać zarządzanie inteligentnym domem.
Niższy model będzie oferował aplikacje takie jak Kalendarz, Notatki i Home, z interfejsem skoncentrowanym na widgetach.

V Turecku jsem na data použil eSIM od Airalo a tady je několik informací:
a) před nákupem eSIM si ověřte, že vás telefon je podporuje. U iphone jsou to všechny telefony minimálně 5 let zpátkyb) eSIM je potřeba koupit ve chvíli, kdy ještě máte přístup na internet. Ideálně tedy doma, nebo na hotelové WiFi. Já to udělal týden předem a k aktivaci došlo po prvním připojení na tureckou mobilní síť
c) Vodafone mi po příletu poslal SMS, že jsem vyčerpal všechna mobilní data (žádná jsem pro tuto lokalitu neměl) a poslal mi skvělou nabídku 250,- za 1MB. Přesto jsem trochu zpanikařil a ověřil si, že opravdu na účtu nic nemám
d) můj iphone mne vyzval k výběru připojení pro FaceTime a iMessage, vybral jsem novou eSIM, ale ptal se mne na to během týdne vícekrát. Možná kvůli připojování telefonu na hotelovou wifi
e) po prvním připojení telefon spotřebuje docela dost dat (u mne asi 40MB), jak se oživují všechny služby. Při normálním používání by měl 1TB na týden stačit.
f) nejvíc dat sežerou mapy (u Apple map lze stáhnout mapa pro offline použití, to se hodí). Pak samozřejmě mail a všechno, kde jsou obrázky, tzn Instagram, X, FB, podle toho, co používáte
g) po chatu s podporou Airalo je správné nastavení iMessage: v zahraničí odškrtnout telefonní číslo v Nastavení -> Zprávy -> Odesílání a příjem, po návratu na domácí síť zase zapnout

Seit letztem Jahr gibts eine „gesetzliche Neuregelungen zum besseren Schutz vor sogenanntem Call-ID-Spoofing“.
D.h., wenn ich aus dem Ausland meine Kontakte anrufe, sehen die „Nummer unterdrückt“ am Display (und gehen nicht dran). So werde ich „gezwungen“, andere digitale Dienste (Facetime, Whatsapp) zu nutzen und einfach nicht mehr dir klassische Telefonfunktion.
Geht es nur mir so, dass ich die Verbesserung nicht sehe?
