Skype is still sitting on my phone. It stopped working when Microsoft shut it down last May (2025 btw), and I am still not deleting it.

ICQ did not survive the last phone. Moving to a new iPhone pulls everything back down from the App Store, and ICQ has not been in the store since 2024, so it just quietly never came back. No warning and nothing to confirm. On the old phone it was there, on the new one it was gone.

So a dead app lives exactly as long as the phone it sits on.

Who else is keeping one of these around?

Skype wurde im Mai 2025 eingestellt, von daher macht es keinen Sinn mehr dieses Tool zu verwenden.
Ich denke ohnehin dass die Wenigsten noch über Skype telefonieren, da es viele Alternativen gibt

I just remembered the time when #Skype would begin to allow you editing messages. There was a brief period, where it allowed you to edit ANY message (even those not from you), which predictably led to chaos and mayhem in any group chat I was a member of 😅

They have an "endpoints API" that has a machine readable list of endpoint IPs for #MS products. It does not mention #Teams, but does list #Skype. None of those IPs appear to be used by Teams.

There's a human-readable page with Teams endpoints, which are the same IPs listed for Skype above.

There's a human-readable page for "Azure Communications Services". Does not mention Teams, but lists IPs Teams seems to use. There is no machine-readable version.
