Sooo… do I know anyone who can escalate network/kernel bug reports internally at Apple? :neocat_evil_3c: (I have tried the customer feedback form)
YouTube has been broken on tvOS on IPv6-only/mostly networks using NAT64 since at least 2024. 100% reproducible across multiple networks, though only when using Ethernet.
I’ve wondered for a while if this is something to do with NAT64’s interaction with Ethernet checksumming. Which seems to be corroborated by this Reddit thread I just found: https://www.reddit.com/r/ipv6/s/mp2NWE2VUv
Not sure why YouTube is impacted though as it should be IPv6-native and not rely on any NAT64 but maybe there’s some IPv4 literals left in the app?
Also can’t find any other examples of apps that are broken but they’re probably out there.
