Crowdfunding: Wings of Death - The Reworked Anthology
At the title link Volker Buckow of "The German Remix Group" is raising funds for a soundtrack anthology of the 1990 game Wings of Death.
The reworking is being done in collaboration with the original composer, Jochen Hippel, and is intended to contain the game’s complete soundtrack, including some planned but unreleased tracks.

Amiga emulator: Denise 2.8
Denise is a cycle-accurate, cross-platform emulator capable of emulating the C64 as well as the Amiga 500, 600 and 1000. New in version 2.8 are debuggers and disassemblers for the CPU, memory and custom chips, among other components, as well as support for hard drives larger than 4 GB.
Denise runs on Windows 7 and later, Linux, BSD and MacOS (Intel and ARM).

Bildersammlung: Update des Amiga Graphics Archive
In die Sammlung früher Amigagrafiken wurden gestern weitere Bilder aus dem Großen Amiga-Jahrbuch 1987 aufgenommen, welches damals von den Commodore-Niederlassungen in der Bundesrepublik, Schweiz und Österreich herausgegeben wurde.

File manager: LightTreeFM
LightTreeFM, a new compact file manager for Classic AmigaOS, has been released. The tool features an Explorer-like layout with a directory tree on the left and a file list on the right, and does not require MUI or ReAction. It supports copy, cut, rename, delete, archiving (LHA, LZX, ZIP), ADF read and write functions, as well as floppy disk tools.

"SEUCK" game: Shoot'm Eup Bomberplanes
"Bomberplanes" is a shooter game created back in 1994 using the Shoot-'Em-Up Construction Kit, which the author is now releasing for free via itch.io. A floppy disk image and a WHDLoad installer are available.

ASM-editor is a modern web application for writing, executing and learning M68K assembler code (and MIPS, RISC-V, X86), which uses the SvelteKit framework and the Rust programming language.
Since our last news item, among other things, an introductory course on general assembly languages and an AI assistant in each editor that takes control of the editor and the emulator have been added.

The open-source file manager Directory Opus 5 is being further developed by @midwan Version 5.101 is a maintenance and portability release featuring FTP/SFTP upgrades, fixes for file system compatibility, revised documentation, and several improvements to the user interface and stability. AROS is now supported for the first time.

PCMCIA driver: CFD 1.41
CFD ("CompactFlashDevice") supports using CompactFlash memory cards on the PCMCIA-Port of an A600 or A1200. Jaroslav Pulchart has created a fork of Torsten Jager’s original driver and released driver version 1.41 two weeks ago.
This release focuses on stability and CPU compatibility improvements across both CPU tiers (68000/68010 and 68020+).

AmigaSplash is indended to show splash screen during boot process from HDD. For now it supports only OCS/ECS graphics and no HAM modes. Sound can be output via a WAV file (stereo, mono) and images can be displayed via an IFF file.

AirScanner 0.63: Scan programm for the eSCL protocol (AirScan)
Tomasz Paul is working on a program for scanners that support the eSCL protocol ("AirScan") in versions 2.5 and 2.62. The Epson models XP-322 and ET L3160 as well as the Canon G6050 have been confirmed to work. As a Hollywood program, it is available for AROS, AmigaOS 4 and MorphOS.

QEMU frontend for running AmigaOS 4/MorphOS/AROS: Kyvos 2.0.0

Open source A4091/A4092 software package: Version 42.37

Open-source replacement for the Amiga's CD file system: ODFileSystem 0.4
Stefan Reinauer has created a modern open-source replacement for the Amiga CD file system.
Since version 0.2, targeted bug fixes have been implemented to improve AmigaDOS compatibility when opening files via "assigns". In addition, issues with the AmigaOS 3.2 CD image that occurred during booting and when using the utilities have been resolved.

Emulation: New, QEMU-specific graphics card driver for AmigaOS 4
QEMU developer Zoltan Balaton has released ATIRadeon.chip, a replacement for the graphics card driver included with AmigaOS 4. His driver is limited to the functions of the still relatively rudimentary ATI emulation in QEMU and therefore works flawlessly under this emulation—however, it is not compatible with real hardware.

As announced by Moya 'Amiga Cammy' McGeough, the results of the latest AmiGameJam contest will be streamed live on AmigaBill's Twitch channel on May 3 at 2 p.m. EDT (8 p.m. CEST). Do-it-yourself: Printable Amiga boxes
The British user "amigang" has recreated several classic Amiga bundle packages (as a personal hobby project) and made them available for free download. Included are, among others, recreations of the Amiga 500 Batman Pack and the Amiga 1200 Desktop Dynamite. Individual templates for the Amiga 500, 600, and 1200 are available and can be printed out and assembled.
