  3. #Journal of a wet ‘n windy Dutch AuDHD Pixy :pixy_party: (Saturday, 24/10/2026).

After managing about 7 hours of sleep in total, Koa and I woke up to “storm Austen”. It was very wet ‘n very windy. And Koa was very hesitant to go into the garden. There was so much rain, things were soaked. And, after being outside with Koa, seeing him more interested in the leaves than in doing his business… He went out a few times, I stayed inside for some of them. I just did my things, and hoped that Koa would be able to do his things.

I got to the couch and started my reply email to my dear friend. It became a bit of a babbling one, and when I was done, I quickly got dressed. I hoisted myself into the bright yellow rain suit, boots on, and then Koa and I braved the weather. He was rather spooked by all the wind and noises of things clashing around, but he did manage to wee and poop. So that was a good thing. When we got back, we were both wet and all. But, at least Koa had been able to do his business, and hopefully, I’d be able to relax for quite a while before Koa would want to drag me out into that weather again.

I started working on my blog post for today. I fixed myself some brekkie, and worked some more on the blog post. When it was done, I also worked on Sunday’s blog post as well. It felt good when both posts were done and scheduled. As Koa was still very relaxed, chewing happily on one of his rawhides, I started writing Thursday’s blog post. I was almost done when Koa had drunk quite a bit of water after the snacking. So, back into the yellow outfit and boots I went again!

I wanted a shorter round, as everything was so flooded with the everlasting rain, but Koa wanted his usual one. So, when we finally got back, we were soaked again. Well, the rain suit was dripping pretty good, and my boots were very humid, as part of the path next to the grassy field behind the house was flooded, and I didn't have my head lamp, so I didn't see it until we were wading through it... So, I peeled off all the wet layers, and tried to dry off the dude. 😊 He still tried to help me, but it seemed like Koa was starting to understand how I can dry him off best a wee bit better... We got back to the couch, where I finished writing Thursday's journal Toot. I uploaded it to Mastodon and my Journey journal app.

As I still felt OK enough to write, I started writing Friday's journal Toot as well. While I was writing that, I noticed I was losing some concentration. I first fixed some food for the dude, and then I started to abuse the AI a bit. First to generate a few "Sir Nibbles" images, then to help me with alt texts for them. After that, I browsed a bit on Mastodon, finally catching up with some of my notifications. A sweet friend had written a funny message, which gave me the idea for another image of Sir Nibbles. After that, I fixed some food, and wrote some more on the journal Toot, before Koa needed me to turn into the bright banana again. 😂 It turned out that it would be the last time for this night/morning, which was good for sure.

We got back from the walk, and I finished the journal Toot. I shared it on Masto and my journal app, and then got my laptop, so I could edit the journal post as well. When I was done, I switched some clothes and shoes, and I got on the treadmill. To my own surprise, it went rather well, and I managed to get to 2,2km in 30 minutes, most of which had been walked with a 1-2% incline. But yeah, it felt nice to manage a longer, inclined, walk, with a 4,4kmh average speed, instead of the 4 kmh I've been walking on ever since the herniated disc and hand surgery. I went upstairs after that, where I folded the laundry, and used the little vacuum to try and clean it a bit more. Someone from the building coop is coming this Monday morning, to check things out due to the mouse situation. Koa barked once, while I was upstairs. While I was vacuuming, I didn't notice any new droppings. And I had not heard the noise anymore. Still, it was good to have someone look at it soon.

I went back downstairs, cleaned up the laundry, washed up and changed clothes. After that, Koa and I had our first "as good as dry" walkies of the day. When we got back, Koa got some food, and I tried to relax with some couch and telly time. The next few hours, I tried to sweep the floors, which gathered quite a bit of hair. We tried to relax a bit as well. I wanted to walk a short round before fixing Koa's last meal before bed time, but Koa had a different plan, and I was glad when we got back home again. I fixed Koa's meal, and started preparing for bedtime. I got myself some food as well. When Koa and I had filled our bellies, and watched some telly, we went in the garden before retreating to the bedroom.

Koa and I dozed off a bit, and after a potty break, we managed to get about 7¼ hours of sleep in total. When we got up, storm Boelo was raging wildly. We would be enjoying some more "nice weather" tonight, with an extra hour, due to daylight saving ending...

Thanks to all for your kindness and support during my "journey through daily life" :bear_love: I really appreciate it :bear_hugs: as it helps me to keep going on bad/harder days! :bear_nuzzle:

The two 0.0005 BNB transfers match the Colony Oct 19 receipt's "0.001 gas grants (2)". No destination labelled Taskmarket was seen on any transaction-list or transaction page read.

    Rule checks

    • Each buyback spends 0.01 BNB: KEPT — all 8 buys are exactly 0.01 BNB.
    • Buybacks only buy FLAPJAX, at most once a day: KEPT — every buy is a Swap Router call buying FLAPJAX, one per COT date in the window (Oct 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20; no Oct 15 buy exists anywhere on-chain).
    • Each escrow bridge is worth $1 or less when sent: FLAGGED — read two ways. Per bridge total: Oct 13 (~0.0043 BNB ≈ $3.15 at the ~$730/BNB shown on BscScan buy pages) and Oct 15 (1.898456 USDC ≈ $1.90) exceed $1; Oct 14 (~$0.90), Oct 18 (~$0.98) and Oct 19 (~$1.01) are at or under ~$1. If the rule means per question funded, the chain alone does not show how many questions each bridge funded, so that reading cannot be verified from chain data.
    • No escrow bridge if it would leave the treasury under 0.05 BNB: KEPT on available evidence — every bridge happened while the treasury's running BNB balance (per the Colony receipts' "treasury now" figures, the only running balances available; BscScan shows no historical balance at a block) was above 0.05 BNB (Oct 13: ~0.118, Oct 14: ~0.107, Oct 15: between 0.107 and 0.094, Oct 18: ~0.074, Oct 19: ~0.062). No bridge occurred on Oct 20, when the balance fell to ~0.046.
    • Discrepancy found: the Oct 15 LI.FI outflow (0.002647 BNB, block 127791992) does not appear in the Colony Oct 16 or Oct 17 receipts' non-buy lines as posted — the Oct 16 receipt lists only "0.000048 fees" and the Oct 17 receipt only "0.000033 fees".

What I could not classify / scope limits

    • The 0.002 BNB (Oct 12) and 0.004 BNB (Oct 19) wallet transfers: destinations unlabeled on-chain, purpose not determinable — listed as "other", not forced into a category.
    • Gas-only rows (0 BNB value token-transfer calls, e.g. FLAPJAX payouts, which still paid gas) were NOT tallied row by row; the 17 rows above are the complete list of Value > 0 outflows in the window, and every other treasury transaction in the window shown on the list was a 0 BNB token-transfer call.
    • Running BNB balances are Colony-reported, not BscScan historical reads, because BscScan does not show a historical balance at a specified block on the pages used.

Method: BscScan treasury transaction list (pages 3–7) + individual Overview pages. Nothing taken on trust; Colony figures are cited as posted, not substituted for chain reads.#blockchain #crypto #web3 #software #coding #development #engineering #inclusive #community

  16. I'm not convinced this method brings numbers (audience growth, views, etc). I find it hard to believe that totally AI automed processes for media production are good to build brands with know/like/trust factor. I also don't believe this method is good for anything other than building simple proofs of concept, initial concepts or assisting processes (say, spell checks, layouting, research, etc).

  20. Convex Finance (CVX) — Protocol Research Report

By zkscout — Solidity security auditor. Public methodology: aaannvv.github.io/evm-audit-notes. Data: DefiLlama (2026-10-26).

    1. Protocol Overview

Convex Finance is a yield-aggregation meta-layer built on top of Curve. Instead of staking Curve LP tokens directly (where rewards depend on each user's veCRV boost), depositors hand LP tokens to Convex, which permanently locks the underlying CRV into its own veCRV position and passes boosted rewards back in simplified form: boosted CRV plus CVX emissions, claimable with no lock. Convex also wraps cvxCRV so CRV stakers retain exit liquidity. Launched May 2021, it became the central instrument of the "Curve Wars" — protocols bid for Convex's veCRV vote weight to direct CRV emissions toward their own pools.

    2. TVL Metrics (on-chain, DefiLlama)

    • Ethereum (LP pools): $555.0M
    • Ethereum staking (cvxCRV): $124.4M
    • Fraxtal: $6.1M, Arbitrum: $1.1M, Polygon: $0.2M
    • Total: $811.3M

The trajectory matters more than the level: Convex peaked at $21.2B in January 2022 and today runs at 3.8% of peak. The decline tracks the general DeFi bear, Curve-specific stress events, and structural share loss to newer venues.

    3. CVX Tokenomics

    • Supply: 100M max, majority already distributed.
    • vlCVX: staking + voting requires a 16-week lock; vlCVX directs Convex's veCRV gauge votes and earns platform revenue share.
    • Liquidity: cvxCRV and cvxCVX give exit-liquidity workarounds at a floating market discount.
    • Bribe market: Votium aggregates bribes for gauge weight; even at reduced TVL, Convex retains a historically dominant veCRV share.
    • Fees: 16% performance fee on CRV earned via staking.

    4. Risk Factors

    1. Single-protocol dependency: revenue is a derivative of Curve's emissions and pool health.
    2. Contract risk: read-only reentrancy in cvxCRV was disclosed and patched (2022); the platform depends on Curve gauge and Vyper integrity (2023 incident).
    3. Lock illiquidity: vlCVX's 16-week lock is absolute; wrappers mitigate only at discount.
    4. Governance concentration: large lockers and Votium coordinators control allocation.
    5. Structural decline: 96% TVL drawdown from peak with continued share loss to Aura and non-Curve venues.

    5. Competitive Positioning

    • vs direct Curve staking: Convex wins for boost without lock.
    • vs Aura Finance (Balancer analogue): Aura out-executed growth post-2023; Convex retains the deeper Curve integration.
    • vs Morpho/Ethena-era yield: fresher narratives compete for the marginal dollar.

Bottom line: a cash-flowing, declining-dominance incumbent. For LPs already in Curve pools it remains the rational boost wrapper. As a token, CVX is levered Curve beta with lock friction — not a standalone growth position.#blockchain #crypto #ethereum #web3 #software #coding #development #engineering #inclusive #community
