#Journal of a tired Dutch AuDHD Pixy :pixy_party: (Saturday, 01/08/2026).
I didn't have the best night. Woke up a few times, and my back was not too happy with me either. To make things even harder, when I got up, I saw that I had not received an email with a locker code, so I could not pick up my new meds. Which meant, having no long-lasting meds for the whole weekend... 😔 I still had the shorter working ones, but that meant needing to take more. And that meant they would run out during my sleep... Ugh...
I got dressed, took the meds I did have, and fed Koa. We got to the couch, where I wrote an email to my sweet friend. I made some breakfast, and started my journal Toot while eating. After the meal, Koa and I went out for a short walk. I felt bläh, and I guess Koa did too, as his number two was not as it usually was, and it smelled horrid... I guess the nasty thing he grabbed the other day, and had eaten before I had a chance to take it out of his mouth, was now letting him (and me) know that it wasn't the best thing to have eaten...
We got back home, and I finished my journal Toot. I was tired and so demotivated, that I just crashed on the couch and watched telly... Koa was passing gas, trying to put me in a coma at some times. Because of the upset belly, we had to go outside a few more times. We didn't walk a longer round, as I guess we were both not feeling up to it.
I made some food, started the dishwasher, and made some food for Koa. After one of the short walks, I went upstairs. I managed to ride half an hour, so that was a good thing. Koa and I just took it easy, with short walks every now and then.
After some time, I grabbed the water hose nozzle and "the crowds went wild" 😂. AKA Koa went absolutely nuts! We went outside, and I tried to take a video while I also tried to clean the grass. It was expensive grass (to me, at least), and I want it to last as long as possible. So that means "watering" the fake grass as often as needed, especially when Koa has done his business more in the garden. But, Koa never minds, he loves to "help" me get the chore done! 😁
We went for a short walkies, and picked up my picture parcel from the neighbor. I made a start with sorting out the snaps, but there were so many, and it really wore me out. After some time, my back was too sore, my head was spinning, and I felt exhausted. So Koa enjoyed his meal, we went outside, and then we got to bed. Not to immediately sleep, but to have my head and back relax so they'd stop hurting me as much as they did.
I chatted with a good friend, and I managed to take "a few" screengrabs from the video of Koa playing with the water hose. After some time, I just got too tired. I grabbed my Kobo, and fell asleep while reading.
After some time, Koa woke me up for a garden break. After that, we snoozed some more, until a buzzing terrorist 🦟 woke me up. I went to the loo, let out Koa again, and then snoozed till Koa thought he'd been in the crate too long, and it wad time to get up.
I got to the scale, which was less bad than I had feared. I got dressed, took the meds I had, fed my doggo, and together, we started our new "day".
Thanks to all for your kindness and support during my "journey through daily life" :bear_love: I really appreciate it :bear_hugs: as it helps me to keep going on bad/harder days! :bear_nuzzle:

#Journal of a slightly exhausted Dutch AuDHD Pixy :pixy_party: (Friday, 31/07/2026).
I didn’t have the worst night, but it was not one where I woke up feeling all relaxed and recharged from. I got up, and slowly started my day. I got dressed, I took my meds, I fixed Koa’s meal… And when he was done with it, we went to the couch, where I grabbed my laptop. I wrote my email to my dear friend, and when I was done, I fixed up some brekkie.
I started writing my journal toot, and when I finished my food, I took Koa out for a short walk. He did his business, and then we got back inside, where I finished my journal toot. I uploaded it to all the usual places, and then I put away the laptop. I was tired, and just wanted to relax for a while.
After some time, I managed to get my big behind off the couch, and I took Koa for a walk. I let him choose the way, and part of me was grateful when he went left, and took the shorter way home. Part of me had wanted to walk more, as I know it’s good for me, and probably for Koa as well. But, I just felt too tired, and I was also glad when I got back on the couch.
I watched some telly, tried to read a bit of my book, and I snacked a bit too much… I went our with Koa again, fixed his meal, and then, he got the zoomies. After a while, he was too overwhelmed, and I had to crate him. Part of me felt bad for doing so, but within minutes, he fell asleep, and I was able to relax for a while.
I took Koa out for another short walk, and then we headed to Nijmegen. I had a slight heart attack, sold my kidney, and then Skoosh’s gas tank was filled up again. Damn, that orange pedo idiot and his stupid wars… He’s raking in the money, while we pay more and more for things that we need to live… Ugh… Well, I am fortunate that Skoosh is a hybrid, at least that means she’s getting more km per liter, which is good for me and my wallet (and, the environment in a way too).
We got to my parent’s place, and when mum was ready, we got the groceries in Skoosh. Then, Koa and I headed back home again. I unpacked the things, Koa and I enjoyed a nice snack. And then we went out for another short walk.
I spent my time with either reading or watching telly. I just felt so tired… I made sure that Koa got his outings, and his snacks and walks. After a while though, we went to the bedroom. Koa enjoyed a nice snack in his crate, and I tried to watch, well, re-watch, some Designated Survivor on my tablet. After a while though, I had dozed off.
When I woke up, I let Koa out for his business, and then we tried to snooze for a while. We woke up a few times, and after some hours, we got up and started our “day” again. I still felt tired, and my back was bad. And, to make things worse, the pharmacy had not emailed me a code, so this weekend, I would not have my better meds yet, as I had run out, and hoped to be able to pick them up… Bugger… Best try to take things easy for now…
Thanks to all for your kindness and support during my "journey through daily life" :bear_love: I really appreciate it :bear_hugs: as it helps me to keep going on bad/harder days! :bear_nuzzle:

#Journal of a slightly bläh Dutch AuDHD Pixy :pixy_party: (Thursday, 30/07/2026).
I had a shorter night than I had hoped for. And I guess it was also shorter than what I needed… But, my stomach was upset, and my back was angry, so I had to get up, whether I liked it or not… So, I got up, got dressed, took my meds, and fixed Koa’s meal. When he had finished, we went to the couch. There, I grabbed my laptop, and I wrote an email to my sweet friend. While I was writing it, I got distracted, and I ordered a new batch of pictures for Koa’s old-skool photo album. Then, I finished up the email. I started my journal toot, while I enjoyed my brekkie.
When I finished my meal, I took Koa our for a short walk, and then I went back to the laptop. I struggled a bit with writing the toot, I just felt like it was so boring, and like it didn’t matter and all that. I noticed that my thoughts were getting more negative, so I tried to focus on something good instead. It wasn't too easy, but I managed to finish up the toot, and share it on the usual places. When I was done with that, I put away the laptop, and I watched some telly, while scrolling some Masto on my phone.
I was feeling so exhausted. I struggled with my focus, and I felt like I should just get back to bed again. But, my back wasn’t too eager for that, and I didn’t want Koa to be locked up all of the time. So, I tried to relax on the couch. I got my Kobo, and I tried to read for a while. But, the epub I had, it had so many mistakes in it, that it was driving me bonkers. So, I looked for another version… I found it, and while it wasn’t perfect either, it was a bit better when it came to the amount of mistakes. I figured that the books had been scanned into epubs, and well, the scanners had many issues with reading the text properly. I have the original paperback of the book, but with my eyes and hands, the Kobo is a better way for me to read these days.
I tried to read a bit, to relax, and then it was time to take Koa for a proper walk. I still struggle with the SniffiVerse™ walkies with Koa, as I keep comparing them to the walks with Arwen… And, as I mentioned before, I know this is not good on my part. But, I just miss them so much, I miss her so much… Ugh… I did try to enjoy my walk with Koa as much as I could, but he was doing his left to right to left thing again, and it was really hard on my back.
When we got back, I tried to relax some more while reading a bit of my book. After some reading, I let out Koa for a short walk, and I fixed his food. I went to the shed, and managed to get the old paper and cardboard sorted out. I took it to the curb for collection day, and was glad when that was done. Koa and I watched a bit of telly, and then I got ready to head to the supermarket. I got most of the things I needed, and of course I forgot Koa’s bananas… Again! My brain is such a mess these days…
We went for a short walk, and then I went upstairs, where I rode the bike for almost half an hour. It was getting too warm, and I was getting too tired. I went back down, and watched some telly in the darkened room. I switched between watching telly and reading, but I could not really settle down. My mind was just too messy, and my body was too tired. I felt a bit guilty towards Koa, as I felt I didn’t do enough with him. But I was just too done…
We went for a few short walks, and then it just got too warm. My back was acting up, and I felt too bad, so we went to the bedroom, where I spent some time watching a series on my tablet, hoping that my back would relax. After a while, I fed Koa, and let him out again. Then, I got ready for bed, but it took a few hours before I was able to relax enough to doze off. Even my rain sounds on the MyNoise™ app weren’t helping me too much. I let Koa out again, but he didn’t do anything. Then, we went back to bed, and I slept for about 3 hours.
Koa woke me up, and we went outside. He did a wee, and we went back to bed. I woke up again about 4 hours later, with my back not being too pleased, and when I saw the time, I was a bit bummed, as I had hoped for a bit more sleep. But, Koa had enough of his time in the crate, which I totally understood, so, we got up and started our “day”.

#Journal of a slightly tired Dutch AuDHD Pixy :pixy_party: (Wednesday, 29/07/2026).
We didn’t have a bad night, until my body decided it was time to get up and start our “day”. We started with the usual routine. I got dressed, took my meds, and fed the dude. We went to the couch, where I got my laptop, and started my email to my sweet friend. When I was done, I made some brekkie, and enjoyed it while I started working on my journal toot. As I still felt a wee bit tired, I took Koa for a short walk, and then we went back to the couch again.
I finished up my journal post and uploaded it to all the usual places. After some relaxing with a bit of telly, I tried to motivate myself to take Koa on a proper walk. I wondered why I struggled to get ready for it, as I used to love the SniffiVerse™ walkies with Arwen… But then I realized the biggest difference: the ease of the walks with my old gall. She could go off-leash, she would stay close and be calm, and I was able to relax (and play with my phone at times, while she was getting her sniffs in)… But with Koa, there’s no calm, there is no real relaxing just yet. He pulls me all the ways, he will not chill and just follow me, just yet… And that made me feel a bit sad. I missed my gall a bit more, while I was annoyed with myself for not being able to enjoy this time with Koa now.
When we got back from walkies, we got to the couch, and we tried to relax a bit with some telly. I was struggling a bit with my brain. Part of it was feeling too exhausted to do things, the other part was annoyed with me not doing things. It was something I could not really “win”, so I tried to distract myself with some online scrolling with the telly on as well.
After a little while, I went upstairs to ride my bike, which I almost managed for half an hour. I got back down, walked Koa and fed him. We tried to relax some more, as this morning, someone from the rental coop was coming to fix several things in the house. Yay for that! I had a big time slot, so I hoped that he (or she) would be starting in our neighborhood. It was going to be a hot day, I was already struggling with light and sound, and I just wanted to “close it all off”, so I would be less overwhelmed by the things of the day today.
I was fortunate, as the man came to our place first. Koa was all excited, and then all bummed, because he was not allowed to “help” the man with his job. At one point, Koa was whining next to the couch. I thought he was upset, because he heard the man in the hallway, and I told him things were OK. He went quiet for a bit, and then he whined again. One of those that pulled your heart-strings… So, I looked at him, and… While I told him that things were OK and there was nothing to be sad about… One of his upper fangs fell out of his mouth! He looked sooooo sad and confused. I picked up the little tooth, and I hugged the little dude as much as he allowed.
When the repair man was done with the walls of the guest-loo, he came into the living room to tackle the window handle issue. It proved to be a bit of a chore, but, he managed to fix it, yay! When he was done with all, I got a text saying that he was on his way to my house… Hmm, I think that the system wasn’t set up right, as I would have preferred that message when he was actually coming to my place, not when he was leaving it, haha.
I walked with Koa, and we relaxed together. I felt to exhausted and unmotivated and I didn’t know why. I tried to read a bit for a while, which was nice, but also hard to focus on. I snacked way too much, but, I also made some food that could be seen as a “wee bit healthy”, well, healthier than what I had been consuming, anyway…
Koa and I went out for another walk, after he had enjoyed his meal, and it was so hot… We quickly went inside again, and got ready to relax in bed. There was noise coming from outside, and it was causing me to get this very annoying headache. I could not filter it out, and it was driving me nuts. So, I hoped that I could just doze off, so that I would not be bothered by it anymore. And, after a while, I did…
I woke up a few times, partially due to Koa, partially due to my body. And, when I woke up again, feeling all sore, and a bit nauseated, I just had to get up, and we started our “day” a little earlier than I had hoped.
Thanks to all for your kindness and support during my "journey through daily life" :bear_love: I really appreciate it :bear_hugs: as it helps me to keep going on bad/harder days! :bear_nuzzle:

In wandering thru L-Space I came upon this quote & on a chaotic whim decided to share it :-

#Journal of a slightly exhausted Dutch AuDHD Pixy :pixy_party: (Tuesday, 28/07/2026).
After a very busy Monday, we had a decent sleep. When we woke up again, I felt a bit broken. As in, my back was more sore, my leg was not all there, and my head was in a woozy state, that showed me how much the hard work from the previous day had cost me. But, looking into the garden, seeing all that artificial grass, well, it looks so much better than the root fabric did… So, it was all worth it. But, it did mean that today needed to be a relaxed day, so I could try and help my body to recover from it all.
We got up, I got dressed, took my meds, and then I prepped Koa’s meal. After he was done with it, we went to the couch, where I got my laptop, and I started my email to my sweet friend. When I was finished with the email, I made myself some brekkie. I started my journal toot while enjoying the brekkie. After the food had been enjoyed, I got ready to take Koa for a walk.
As we both were rather tired, Koa and I opted for a shorter SniffiVerse™ walkies this evening/night. When we got back, we were both rather tired. Koa got to snooze on the couch some more, while I finished up the journal toot. I uploaded it in all the right places, and then I put the laptop away.
I worked a bit on my blog site, and edited a few pictures, while watching a new (to me) season of Criminal Minds on TV. After some time, Koa and I went for another walk, a shorter one, and then I fixed some more food for him. We relaxed a bit more, and then I went upstairs to ride my bike for a while. Koa allowed me to ride a full half hour, guess he was still rather tired, as he didn’t even try anything naughty…
When I got back, I was a bit tired, so I relaxed for a while, before taking Koa on another walk. We got back, and I tried to relax my back a bit on bed, with my tablet. I had to go to the store, so when it was nearly opening, I got ready to take Skoosh there. I got my groceries, and quickly headed back home again. I made myself some food, walked with Koa, and then, I tried to relax for a while, as I just felt so exhausted.
I watched a lot of the new, to me at least, season of Criminal Minds. There were some very sad episodes in the bunch, and it had me think about some things, and I even started a blog post based on some of those thoughts.
I was waiting on a parcel to be delivered, and when they had come, and gone, I got ready to head to bed. I was so tired, and my body was so sore… It took a little while to doze off, but when I did, it felt nice. I woke up when Koa was whining a bit, and then I let him out, and it took a while before he did his thing. We went back to bed, and I dozed off quickly enough.
Unfortunately, I woke up again a bit too early for my liking, but… My belly and back needed me to take some actions, as they both hurt me in their own ways. So, I got up, and Koa and I started our new “day”.
Thanks to all for your kindness and support during my "journey through daily life" :bear_love: I really appreciate it :bear_hugs: as it helps me to keep going on bad/harder days! :bear_nuzzle:

Good evening Squirrel Fans.
As the school summer holidays are imminent here in deepest, darkest Yorkshire, this quote seems moderately appropriate :-
“On nights such as this, witches are abroad. Well, not actually abroad. They don’t like the food and you can’t trust the water and the shamans always hog the deckchairs.”
Terry Pratchett — Wyrd SistersRight off to see a man about a team of retired xenobiologists .. not a sentence I thought I would be typing 24 hours ago!

#Journal of a very sore, but also excited, Dutch AuDHD Pixy :pixy_party: (Monday, 27/07/2026).
I didn’t have a very bad night, but I woke up a little earlier than I had hoped, and my back and bowels told me that it was time to get up, so… I did just that. The scale wasn’t as bad as I had thought it would be, and I got dressed. I fixed Koa’s meal, and took my meds. Then, we headed to the couch, where I started on my email to my sweet friend. When I was done, I fixed some brekkie, and I started on my journal toot. After brekkie was finished, I put away the laptop, and got ready for a walk with Koa.
We walked the little longer SniffiVerse™ walkies again, a little over 2km, and Koa did great. When we got back, I hoped that Koa would be tired enough to snooze some, but his teefs were still bothering him, so I gave him a frozen banana lickimat. After that, he settled down for a while, and I was able to finish the journal bit. When it was uploaded to all the usual places, I put away the laptop.
I watched some telly, while I edited a few Koa snaps on my phone, and while I worked a bit on a blog post. Koa and I went out for a short walkies, and then he got his meal. I fixed some food too, as I was feeling rather hungry. After the meal, I went upstairs, and took down, and folded, the dry laundry. I took it downstairs with me, and put it on the bed.
I tried to relax for a while, as today was going to be a long day, with the coach coming first, and then my friend coming to help me with the back garden. So, after the chores were done for a bit, Koa and I went to the bedroom, where we relaxed for a little while. When my brain got too jumpy from “doing nothing”, I got up again, walked Koa, tried to clean a bit, and then I watched TV until the doorbell rang, and the coach arrived.
We started on the papers that needed to be in order, which was quite some work… I had not expected bestie just yet, as I got her text late, so I thought she was running late. When the doorbell went about 10 minutes later, I was very surprised when it was her. I was finishing up with the coach, and bestie took Koa out for a little walk. When they got back, we were rounding up things as well. So, the coach left, and bestie, and I got ready to start the hard work.
There was some rain, but it quickly ended, and we went outside. We started by pulling out all the pins, and then I had to take of the little turf that Koa had been using a lot. I tried to put it in the container, and with some wiggling, it went in. It was a smelly job, even with all the rinsing I had given the turf. The root-fabric came off, and bestie started the hard work of raking the soil. We have a clay soil, and the area was quite bumpy. I found a little slat, that bestie could use to level the soil with, as much as possible. While she was doing that, I fixed up some lunch.
After a break we started with putting the fabric back. We added a few new bits to really close it off as good as possible. Then, we started adding the grass. Cutting it to the right size was a bit challenging, but we managed to get it all in. Around 2pm, we were dead and done. And, Koa was allowed to break in the new grass with a new ball… That didn’t last him too long haha. But, I took a little video, and he seemed to love it, running around like an idiot, haha.
Bestie got ready to head home again, And then Koa and I got ready to head to bed, as we were both rather tired. It didn’t take too long for Koa to start snoozing, and a little while after that, I was able to get comfy, and doze off too. I woke up once, for the loo, and Koa was still snoring peacefully. When I woke up again, it was just after 23, which meant that Koa had gone without a potty break for about 8 hours! He must have been really tired (and getting better at controlling his bladder). I quickly got up to let him out, and together, we started our new “day”.

I do like this quote which is quite enough of an excuse to accost my Peeps with it! :-
“Is this a dagger I see before me?' he mumbled.
'Um. No, my lord. It's my handkerchief, you see. You can sort of tell the difference if you look closely. It doesn't have as many sharp edges.”
― Terry Pratchett, Wyrd SistersRight off to see if I can persuade a group of bigwigs that they need to take an existential threat seriously - if it’s anything like the real world I’ll have my work cut out for me!

#Journal of a hot & cold Dutch AuDHD Pixy :pixy_party: (Sunday, 26/07/2026).
I didn’t have a too bad night. Koa seems to be getting better at sleeping longer periods of time, which is a nice thing to happen… But, I did struggle with my body, both my back and my belly, unfortunately. So when I got up, I had to deal with that first, before I could get to the scale, dress, deal with my meds, and fix Koa’s food. When Koa finished his meal, we went to the couch, where I got my laptop, and started my email to my sweet friend.
When I was finished, I got some brekkie, and I started my journal toot. After brekkie was done, Koa wanted to head out for walkies, so we went for the SniffiVerse™ round. We walked a little different this time, adding a wee bit more distance. Koa did excellent, and when we got back, I hoped that he was tired enough, so I could finish my journal toot. It took a little longer than I thought, for Koa to settle down. I popped in the 5th Ice Age Movie, and then I was able to finish the toot. I uploaded it to all the usual places, and then I put the laptop away.
I used my phone to work on a blog post for a bit. When the movie ended, I took them upstairs, and brought a few Muppet movies downstairs with me. I popped one in the player, and watched it while I tried to relax. When the movie had ended, Koa and I went out on another little walk. When we got back, I fixed some food for Koa, and then I went upstairs to ride my bike for a little while. This time, Koa allowed it, so I managed to get half an hour in.
Back downstairs, I had some food, and Koa and I tried to relax for a little bit. I felt a bit like crap, as my temperature fluctuated again and again, and my tummy wasn’t playing too nicely either. I fixed myself some food, but before I could finish it, I got so nauseated… Well, we all know what happens then…
I felt even worse after that, and I decided to go to bed for a while. Not so sleep, but to calm down, and try to get my body relaxed again. I was really not feeling too well, and I was afraid that I’d not be in any state to help my friend with my mess when she’d come. I texted her and told her I was worried that I may not be in any state to help, but that I would try if she’d still be willing to come. And, she came…
She made a start on the cupboard, and told me to sit back, and make sure that Koa would not be in the way too much. Which I tried. We had a little break, and walked with Koa, and then she finished it all for me. It looked so easy, and I wish I could have done it on my own, but yeah… Nope… We chatted for a while, and then she offered to take out some of the weeds that had been bugging me. And, she went so fast, making it look so easy again. And, while I was super grateful for all the help, I also struggled a bit, because I felt so “stupid” for not being able to do these “simple” things myself. So yeah… It was a bit of a double set of emotions.
My friend offered to walk with Koa, and then she headed back home again. I was so tired, that, after Koa had his meal, we went to bed. I wanted to watch some Criminal Minds and try to relax my sore body. But, within a few minutes, I was already snoozing. When I woke up again, I startled myself, as I had not thought I was that bad… But, I got to the loo, put away my tablet, and I went back to sleep.
Koa is doing so much better these days, being able to sleep longer with less potty breaks. When I woke up again, it was still a bit early. Another hour, maybe two even, would have been very welcome. But, my body was sore, my tummy was upset too, and Koa wanted to go out now. So, we got up, and we started our “day” a little earlier than planned.
Thanks to all for your kindness and support during my "journey through daily life" :bear_love: I really appreciate it :bear_hugs: as it helps me to keep going on bad/harder days! :bear_nuzzle:

#Journal of a slightly tired but OK Dutch AuDHD Pixy :pixy_party: (Saturday, 25/07/2026).
It wasn’t the worst night, although my back and bowels were making things a bit more challenging. But, I managed to get a wee bit of sleep, so when Koa told me it was time to get up, getting up is what we did. I got dressed, took my meds, and fed Koa. After the dude had been fed, we went to the couch, where I grabbed my laptop, so I could write an email to my sweet friend.
Koa was a bit restless, as I guess his teefs were/are giving him issues. It’s not easy, getting your adult molars and such... I watched Ice Age 2 while I wrote the email. When I had sent the email, I fixed some brekkie, and started on my journal toot. When food had been enjoyed, I took Koa out on a little SniffiVerse™ walkies. It’s nice to be able to get the short nightly walks in with Koa, but it’s also a bit emotional, as it reminds me of my sweet gall...
When we got back, it took a little while for Koa to settle down, and I was able to write the rest of my journal toot. After that, I put away the laptop, and I relaxed with the third Ice Age movie. After that movie had ended, Koa and I went for a short walk, and we fixed something to eat. I tried to ride my bike for a while, but Koa wasn’t too pleased with me. So, after a shorter time than I’d hoped for, I had to get back downstairs again.
I loaded the washing machine, and let it do its work. When it was done, I went upstairs again, to hang it all out. Of course, Koa was quiet about it now... I got back downstairs, and tried to relax a little bit. When it was near 8, I got to Skoosh, and headed to the supermarket. Of course, I got back home, without the bananas I’d promised Koa, again... Ugh, stupid brain. I walked with Koa again, and then I tried to relax for a while.
I tried to hose down Koa’s artificial grass again, and had my camera ready, as Koa went nuts! I tried to get a nice little video of it, and then I went to bed for a while, as I was so exhausted. I didn’t sleep, but I managed to take a bit too many screengrabs from the video of silly jumping Koa...
When my back felt a bit better again, I got the little vacuum and I tried to clean the downstairs area as good as I could. Which was challenging, as Koa was there, trying to “help” me, by trying to attack and grab the tube...
After some time, I fed Koa, and we got ready to head to bed again. First to relax and then to snooze. It took a little while for me to doze off. I woke up twice due to Koa. The second time, my back and bowels told me it was time to get up, so, we got up, and started our “day” a little earlier than I had hoped for...

#Journal of a slightly better Dutch AuDHD Pixy :pixy_party: (Friday, 24/07/2026).
I didn’t have the best night, somehow, my body wasn’t too keen on letting me sleep in a comfortable way. I slept for a little less than 7 hours in total, according to my watch. But, when it was time to start our “day”, we did just that. I got dressed, took my meds, and fixed Koa’s meal. When Koa was finished, we headed to the couch. I got my laptop, and started writing an email to my sweet friend. Koa was struggling a bit with his teething, still dealing with several molars and his fangs. I hope that they’ll get exchanged soon, as its not only causing Koa issues, it’s troubling me as well, as Koa keep whining and trying to bite me more.
When I had finished the email, I fixed myself some food, and I started writing my journal toot. When brekkie was done, Koa and I went out for a nice walk. It was a longer walk, and the first time we walked it, so it was a bit exciting and scary for Koa. But he did really well, and when we got back, both of us were quite tired. I got back to my laptop, and I finished writing my journal toot. After that was uploaded everywhere, I put away the laptop, and I got my phone. I managed to take several funny screengrabs from the water-hose video of Koa from Thursday. I had AI help me to write some alt texts, and then I shared several of the pictures on Pixelfed.
I watched the Farmageddon movie, a Shaun the Sheep one, and then I popped in the DVD of Ice Age. I tried to relax with it, while scrolling through Masto, and trying to catch up here and there. After a bit, I got upstairs, and I rode the bike for a while. I had wanted to ride for half an hour, but somehow, after 15 minutes, my back just had enough of it all. I really hate being out of shape so much…
I went back downstairs, walked with Koa, and then we tried to relax for a while. My back was annoying me, and I didn’t like it. After some relaxing with some Criminal Minds on my tablet. Koa and I went out for another walk. We played a little, and I watched some more telly. I had promised to take my neighbors' son to the train-station in the next town this morning, so I was waiting till it was time to get ready for that. But, Koa let me know he needed to go out a little earlier, so we went out.
I texted the neighbor that we were at the grassy field, and her son opened the gate, and let us in. Koa went inside and started to explore… He still doesn’t understand why the big black dude isn’t around anymore. When he found the old dog bed, he sniffed it and started looking again. It made me a bit sad, but it also reminded me of the big black fluff, after Arwen had passed away.
When the son was ready, we went to Skoosh, and the neighbor took Koa out for a walk. The son needed something from the store, and while he was inside, I set up the navigation. Then, we were on our way. He got to the station safe and sound, and I headed back home. When I had parked, I checked Koa’s GPS app, and I saw he and the neighbor were close to home as well. We chatted for a bit, and then we went back home.
Koa got his snuffle-mat, and then we relaxed for a while. Some more telly time… I was rather tired, and my back was sore. I really need a better couch, as this one is not good for my back… So, after a while, I fed Koa, and let him out. Then, we headed to bed early. Not to sleep yet, but to be able to relax my back better. But… By bowels started to really act up, and well, I was not a happy Pixy…
After some time, it got better, and I was able to relax. I read my book, and then, I dozed off. I woke up again when the electric swatter had managed to protect me from another buzzing terrorist. Although, it may have been after they had gotten to me… I went to the loo, struggled a bit again, and then took Koa out. He had a drink, and went outside, but… He wasn’t interested into doing anything… So, after a few minutes, we got back to bed again. When the swatter fried another terrorist, it woke me up again, and as my body was sore, I decided it was time to get up, and start our “day”.

#Journal of a slightly better Dutch AuDHD Pixy :pixy_party: (Thursday, 23/07/2026).
I didn’t have the worst night, but I did wake up with my back not being too happy with me… Ah well, Koa was all good with getting up and starting our “day” as well, so that was good. We started with the usual things, and when Koa had a full belly, we went to the couch, where I started my email to my sweet friend. When I was done, I got my brekkie, and I started writing my journal toot. But, Koa was a bit restless, probably due to his molars changing still giving him discomfort/pain, so, I decided that Koa and I would walk to the DHL parcel vault, to pick up the Shaun plushie.
The walk went well, and I was glad that I brought my head lamp with me, as parts of the pavements weren’t too visible, due to trees and hedges blocking the light from the streetlamps. And, as not all the pavements are smooth, I used the little lamp to see where I was going. I tracked the walk with Koa’s collar, and according to it, when we got back, we had walked 1,9km. About 1,18 miles, according to my app. So, I was hoping that Koa would settle down, and I could finish the journal toot in peace. But, I still took a little while before Koa relaxed, and I could write my bit.
While I was writing, I was watching the new Blu-ray movie that I had gotten, the Shaun the Sheep movie. It was really fun to have it play while I was writing. And although I knew I would love it, I enjoyed it even more than I had thought at first… I finished the journal bit, uploaded it to all the usual places, and then I worked a bit on a blog post, before I put away the laptop.
When the movie was finished, Koa and I went out for another walk. I felt OK enough to go upstairs, when we got back, and I managed to ride my bike for 15 minutes. When I got back down, I tried to relax a bit. I thought about feeding my little monster, but I don’t think I actually did it. So, when I got up after watching some telly, I could not remember feeding Koa… And he wasn’t too pleased with me, so I figured that my foggy brain had forgotten to feed Koa… Whoops! I quickly got to work, and was met with a very pleased doggo. I am sure that he would have been just as pleased to receive a second meal, but it really didn’t feel like that…
After Koa was done with his meal, we went out for a short walk, and then I tried to relax a while, as I wanted to go to the supermarket when it opened. Which I did do, and then, when I came back, I realized I had forgotten the bananas I had promised Koa. Damn, stupid foggy brain. I texted the neighbor, asking that, if she’d be up for a walk to the supermarket, if Koa and I could join her, to get those bananas I promised him… She wasn’t sure if she was going, so I was just going to go to the supermarket on Friday, and try to get them then…
I went upstairs for another bike ride, and Koa allowed me to ride for 30 minutes. It felt good, but I was also tired when I was done. I got back down, walked another short round with Koa, and then, we had some water-hose fun in the garden, as I had to rinse off his little grassy patch. Koa had the bestest of fun, and I tried to capture it all on video. After that, Koa and I went to relax for a little while.
I didn’t hear from the neighbor, and I was rather tired, and my back started to annoy me more so… We went to bed. To relax at first, and to sleep later. I was watching Criminal Minds, when I saw a text from the neighbor come in, that she was at the gate. I got out of bed, in my sexy shortamas, and I took Koa with me. I opened the gate, and I hoped that all would go well, as it was the first time that Koa was loose like that. And… I have to admit, I was a bit scared (and Nicole told me she was a bit anxious as well...).
Koa and I went outside, but I didn't have the time to get Koa on the leash, so, he went to Nicole with only his GPS collar on (yay for that, otherwise I would not have dared it at all). He was so excited to see Nicole, and then he realized that he was not on his leash. We saw him in doubt a bit, as he wanted to explore, but it was also a bit scary. He went to the grassy area, and did a big number two (so it was good that he was out I guess). Nicole watched him, when I was getting a baggy, as I did want to clean it up. When I got back, Koa had realized that Nicole's gate was open, so he'd gone to her place, as he still wonders why Bundy isn't there anymore (we had the same when Arwen passed away, Bundy came into the house a few times as well, to look for her... 😢). Koa then saw Dennis, Nicole’s youngest son that lives with her, and he got even wilder, as he wanted all the cuddles. In the end, I was very relieved when I closed the gate behind us, with Koa being safe in the garden again. But, the magic word "snackje" (little snack), and the crunching with the bag of little snacks (and of course offering one when he came to us), it worked! He came to me, he came to Nicole, and he stayed close enough for us to see him. But yeah, I was glad that he had the GPS collar on, because, should something have happened, then at least we would have been able to easily find him again... But, in the end, it was a good exercise for both Koa and me. And I was glad that Nicole was there too, should something have happened, as I was in my sexy sleepy outfit haha!
After that, Koa and I got back to bed. And, it didn’t take too long before I dozed off. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my long-lasting meds anymore, so after a few hours, my back wasn't too pleased with me, and I had to take another painkiller, to be able to sleep some more. But, my stomach and all wasn’t too pleased with me either, so when I woke up again with some heartburn, and a very annoyed bowel system, well… I decided it was best to just get up, and start our “day” earlier than usual… And, let’s just see how things would go…
Thanks to all for your kindness and support during my "journey through daily life" :bear_love: I really appreciate it :bear_hugs: as it helps me to keep going on bad/harder days! :bear_nuzzle:

#KoaKoolaniPS. Sorry no Koa snapshot this time... I still have to try and get some screengrabs from today's video. I did play with some editing, and made a silly edited video of Koa's water hose fun on the 18th and 23rd. Don't expect anything awesome from me 😂 but Koa did his best to be awesome. #Journal of a very much bläh feeling Dutch AuDHD Pixy :pixy_party: (Wednesday, 22/07/2026).
I didn’t have a very bad night, but every time I woke up, my back was not kind to me. And I couldn’t understand why it was more sore now, as I had taken my meds, and I had used the knee pillow, and I had been up every few hours… So, yeah, when we got up, I didn’t feel too good. Unfortunately, this kinda set the tone for the rest of the day… 😢
I got up, dressed, took my meds, and prepped Koa’s meal. When he’d finished, we got to the couch, where I got my laptop, and I started on an email to my sweet friend. Somehow, I got into babbling mode, and my email got to be a bit long… So I hoped that my friend would not mind… When I sent the mail, I fixed some brekkie. Koa wanted out for a short walk, and when we got back, I finished my journal toot. It got uploaded to the usual places, and I put away the laptop.
The new electronic flyswatter, although you don’t really have to swat with it, as that would break it, is doing a good job. Maybe not great, but since I’ve had it, it managed to kill some buzzing terrorists 🦟 on its own with the cradle-UV-function. And, I have been able to “catch” a few of the bloodsuckers, and they fried with a big pop. I still have enough small lumps from all the bites they got, but hopefully, with the help of this nice “swatter”, there will be less of the beasts to pester me.
Koa and I relaxed a bit with some more Criminal Minds, and I gave Koa his frozen banana lickimat. He now knew what to expect, and dove in when he saw it. But, I felt off, like it all didn’t matter. Like it was all too much. I had all these ideas, and there was just no motivation, no energy, to get things done. Even the hugs and cuddles with Koa didn’t seem to make me feel better.
I took Koa on several walkies, got him and myself some food. But even though I felt hungry, I also felt nauseated a bit, which is not a good combination. I tried to relax as much as I could, getting to bed for a bit with my phone and tablet, trying to clear out my head. I wrote some for my blog, which was nice, but also still hard, since the bully’s remark over my posts all being AI-made clickbait slop… 😢 And yeah, I use AI made images. And, sometimes I ask AI to help me with putting texts together that I copied from different websites. But, the words, spelling mistakes, errors, and all… They are mine. The experiences, the journey I write about, it’s all real… And by dismissing it as slop, due to my image… Well, it hurt me a whole lot. I have blocked the asshat, and I know I should “just” move on, but every time I sit down to write for my blog, something in the back of my head goes “why make the effort, it’s slop anyway”. 😭
I didn’t do too much today. I felt bad, I had issues with my temperature, as one moment I was all sweaty, and the next, I felt so cold. I wanted to just confine myself to a dark and quiet place, and wait for it all to “pass by”, and I could feel better again. Which, of course, wasn’t possible, as I had to care for Koa. So, I did my best, and I think Koa thought it was OK enough, as he kept giving me all the nibbles and kisses… Some nibbles did hurt, but yeah… I wanted to be there for Koa, so I tried to do the best I could…
After some time, Koa and I just went to bed, and I think Koa noticed I needed some rest, because he was snoozing before I knew it. It took me a little while to doze off. About 90 minutes later, Koa woke me up with a bark. I let him out, and he had a bit to drink. He went outside, but didn’t seem too interested in doing anything more than cuddling and sniffing. So, after a few minutes, we got back to bed again.
A few hours later, Koa woke me up again, and now, he needed a wee. After a bit, we got back to bed. Unfortunately, I only got about an hour more sleep in, as then a buzzing terrorist decided that buzzing around my head was a good idea… I tried to wave him towards the UV, but no such luck. So, after about 6 hours of sleep, we got up, and we started our “day”.
Thanks to all for your kindness and support during my "journey through daily life" :bear_love: I really appreciate it :bear_hugs: as it helps me to keep going on bad/harder days! :bear_nuzzle:

#Journal of a slightly positive Dutch AuDHD Pixy :pixy_party: (Tuesday, 21/07/2026).
After a not too bad night, we got up and started our day as usual. Well, I haven’t been using the scale a lot lately. It’s hard to stand still on it for a while, and I am afraid of what it will show me when I do use it… But, Koa and I got up, and we started our “day”. Just the usual bits, like getting dressed, taking meds, feeling the wild idiot, hihi. After that, we headed to the couch, where I got my laptop, and I started my email to my very sweet friend.
When I had finished it, I got some brekkie, and I started on my journal toot. Koa wanted to go out, so we went for a short walk, and then we got back, and I finished up with the journal bit. I uploaded it to all the usual places, and then I worked a bit on two new blog entries. It felt good to have some more posts done, as I was “running out” of scheduled posts. And I would hate to break my awesome daily posting streak… So, to have two more posts lined up, yeah, that made me feel a wee bit better. After that, I put away the laptop, and I tried to relax for a bit.
Koa was a bit restless, and he wanted to go out. I went into the garden with him, and while I sat down, I saw something white fall from his mouth. He wanted to grab it, and I asked him to let it go, so I could get it. And, above all my expectations, he moved away and let it be! When I picked it up, it was one of his puppy molars… That would explain the whining and being more restless. He was busy with losing more of his teefs. He already lost one molar, but I didn’t get that one.
We got back inside, and we tried to relax for a bit. Koa struggled a bit with the whole relaxing thing, but, after a little while, he managed to settle down, finally… So, we relaxed for a while, We went out for another short walk, and we relaxed again. Koa was really struggling with his teefs, so, I gave him his first frozen banana lickimat. I had no idea if he would like it but, once he tried it, and realized that he liked it a lot, and he attacked it like a mad puppy! I guess you could call it a big hit. And it helped him to cool his mouth a bit, which was a plus as well. Guess I will need to start getting some more bananas…
I made Koa some food, and then we went out for a little longer walk. When we got back, I got Koa in his crate, and I went upstairs to ride my bike for a while. Koa protested a bit at first, but only a wee bit, and then he settled down for a snooze. I managed to get a half hour ride in. Then, I went back downstairs, and I fixed some food. We went for a short walk after that.
When we got back, I texted my neighbor, and I asked her if she’d be interested in walking to the supermarket with Koa and me. We set up to go together around 9. Just before that, Koa needed a wee, so I got my bag and things, and Koa and I went to the grassy field. When our neighbor came, we set off to the store.
She went in first, and I got my things after that. On the way back, she held Koa, so I could relax a bit with the groceries on my back. When we got back, I cleaned up the groceries, and Koa and I relaxed for a bit. I turned on the doorbell, and checked the estimated delivery time on Koa’s food, and my electronic flyswatter. Ow, and the Blu-rays of Shaun the Sheep… Hihi…
I gave Koa his snufflemat, and we waited for a bit. I managed to clean up a bit of my bedroom, making more space for Koa’s big crate. The delivery came, and after that, Koa and I went out for another walk. When we got back, I prepped things to relax on bed for a while. I wanted to charge the swatter, and I saw a buzzing terrorist in my bedroom. With some effort, I climbed on my bed, and turned on the swatter. And with a big bang, the little terrorist was fried!
Koa had his meal, and we went into the garden for a bit. Then, we got ready to head to bed. I spent some time watching Criminal Minds, and when my meds were kicking in, I got my Kobo and fell asleep while reading.
A big bang woke me up, and I realized that the new swatter had just fried a terrorist on its own, which was wonderful. One less bloodsucker to worry about. I got back to sleep, and woke up when Koa barked. I took him outside, but he seemed more interested in getting a bit to drink than in getting some drinks out… He went back to the crate, and I went back to bed.
When I woke up again, Koa was still snoozing. But my back was killing me, and I had to get up and start moving around. Koa woke up too, and we both started our routine, as we started our “day” a little earlier, due to my back.

#Journal of a slightly relaxed Dutch AuDHD Pixy :pixy_party: (Monday, 20/07/2026).
Koa and I had gone to bed early, as we were just beat from the visit to the Herperduin. We had a few interruptions for potty breaks, both for Koa and for me, but in the end, my watch tells me that I managed to sleep for about 8 hours. We got up a bit earlier than usual though, as we’d gone to bed earlier too. This threw me off a little with my usual routine swing, but I managed to make it work.
We got up, and I got dressed. I took my meds, fed Koa, and we went to the couch where I grabbed my laptop. I started with an email to my sweet friend. When I was finished, I grabbed some brekkie. I started writing my journal toot, and then Koa wanted out for a little walk. When we got back, I got back to the laptop, and I finished the journal entry. I uploaded it to all the usual places. And I took some screengrabs from yesterday’s video, so that I could use some for my journal blog post.
While I was working on the pictures, I realized something that made me sob… The first time I ever took Arwen to the Herperduin, it was on July 19, 2024… And now, without realizing it, the first time ever I took Koa to the Herperduin… Was exactly two years later, on July 19, 2026. I don’t know why, but it made me cry so much. Heck, even mentioning it here now… Is making me tear up again.
When I finished the bits and bops, I put away the laptop, and I tried to relax for a while with some Criminal Minds. After some time, Koa woke up again, and we went out for another short walk. After that, I wanted to ride my bike for a while. But, Koa wasn’t too keen on that, and I had to stop after 17 minutes, as I didn’t want him to bark too much during the night.
I fixed Koa some food. I tried to relax for a bit again, as I was struggling to take Koa out for the longer walk. I don’t know why it felt so hard to take him out, it was just… Like it was the worst weather every, and I didn’t want to go out in it… But, the weather was wonderful for a little walk, and it was just me being silly for some reason. In the end, I managed to get off the couch, and Koa and I had a lovely walk together.
When we got back, I managed to clean up a bit of mess that had been annoying me for some time. I still have a lot to do, but I am hoping that I can manage to get it done, bit by bit. When I was done, I got the little vacuum cleaner, and I tried to do a quick “run” around the downstairs area. Koa was very helpful, and tried to bite in the shaft of the little vacuum. It was funny, but also a bit annoying, as it made it harder for me (and my back) to get the stuff done. In the end, there was quite a bit of sand and hair in the little bin, so even the “quick run around” had helped to make things a bit more clean.
Then it was time to head to the supermarket. I got a few things, and got back soon again. I walked with Koa, and then we waited for my coach to come over. When she arrived, we chatted a bit, and then we called the rental building coop, to arrange for some repairs to be done in the house soon. We managed to get things sorted, and then we took out Koa for a little walk. We discussed some things for the next week, and then she headed to the next client. Koa and I relaxed for a while, and I fixed some food.
Koa and I went to bed for a little while. Not to sleep, but to relax my back, as it wasn’t too pleased with me. After a little while, we got back up. I fixed some food for my boy, and we went out for a last walk. After that, we did get ready to head to bed. It was a bit early, but my back didn’t stop complaining, and I just had to lay down and be able to relax my back.
I finally managed to finish a book that I had been reading for almost 2 months now. Somehow, it seemed like the pages in the book weren’t correct, as I felt I was never getting to the ending of it. It wasn’t a bad book at all! I struggled with concentration, and I had fallen asleep with my tablet a little more than that I had been reading. After a while, I finally felt relaxed enough, and I was able to doze off.
I woke up once for the loo, and Koa told me he needed to go out. But, he only wanted to drink, and not do anything outside. I waited for a bit, but I got so tired, that we went back to bed again. And… Koa let me sleep for several more hours! When he woke me up again, we got up, and we started our “day”. According to my watch, I had slept for about 7¼ hours in total, so not too bad at all.
Thanks to all for your kindness and support during my "journey through daily life" :bear_love: I really appreciate it :bear_hugs: as it helps me to keep going on bad/harder days! :bear_nuzzle:

Good evening Squirrel Fans.
I need me a pair of these! :-

#Journal of a slightly enthusiastic Dutch AuDHD Pixy :pixy_party: (Sunday, 19/07/2026).
Saturday had left me exhausted, and I think Koa knew this, because we had a long sleep. There were a few interruptions for potty breaks, but in the end, according to my watch, I had slept for 9¾ hours in total. Which is huge, at least to me, and it took me a bit to get up from bed in the end, as I was sore, and my meds had ended, so my back was extra sore. But, my head felt rather well, which was something I needed after yesterday’s meltdown.
I got up, dressed, took my meds, and fed my little dude. We went to the couch, where I got my laptop, and I started writing an email to my sweet friend. After I had finished that, I made myself some brekkie, while I started writing my journal toot. Koa wanted out for a short walk, so we did that, and then I got back to finishing the journal toot. I uploaded it to all the usual places, and then I got a bit stressed, as I saw that I barely have any posts scheduled on my blog left. I have a few I am working on, but I don’t want to rush them. I also don’t want to break my posting streak, as I am super proud of it! I’ve been sharing a post every day for 2.225 days now (which is roughly 6 years and one month). And I am not posting just anything to keep the streak going, I want to post real things, posts that matter to me. So, I hope that soon, my brain will be “in the zone” again, to get some more posts worked on, and scheduled for release.
When I was done with the journal toot, and I had worked a bit on another blog post, I put away the laptop, and tried to relax a bit with some telly. Koa and I relaxed for a while, and I shared some screengrabs from a video I took of Koa, playing with the water hose, yesterday. When I was done, Koa was eager for walkies. The weather was nice, and we walked the longer route. When we got back, I fixed food for both Koa and me. After that, I headed upstairs, and I rode the bike for half an hour. Koa was not in his crate, so I kept an ear out while I was riding. But, when I got back down, he was snoozing peacefully, and then told me he wanted out again.
After a short walk, I got my laptop. I checked how far the water at the Herperduin was from the parking, to see if it would be too far for Koa. I asked my mum, and we made plans to take the boys to the Herperduin later that morning. I relaxed for a while, took Koa for another short walk, and then we relaxed some more. Mum texted earlier than expected that she and Bas were on their way. So, I took an extra painkiller, and Koa and I got ready for walkies. When mum and Bas arrived, we got in Skoosh, and we were on our way.
Koa was very enthusiastic, and he kept pulling the leash, like he knew where to go. When we got to the waterside, Koa tried to rush me to it. I tried to capture it with my phone, while also trying to keep up with the little dude. While he didn’t jump into the water like a mad-man, he did enjoy a few little splashes. After some time, we got to a bench, and we relaxed for a little while, before we made the journey back to Skoosh.
We got back home, mum and the dogs had a bit to drink, and then mum took Bas home again. Koa and I had a meal, and we relaxed for a while. But, I was so tired, that after a bit, we just got ready to head to bed. After some time, Koa already dozed off, and before I knew it, I was struggling to keep reading, and I dozed off too…
I woke up for the loo, and then when Koa woke me up for his loo break. When I woke up again, it was still a bit earlier than usual, but my body was done with being in bed, and I had to go to the loo again, so in the end, I just got up and started my “day”. According to my watch, I got about 8 hours of sleep in, in total, so it wasn’t that bad at all…

CW: I had an autistic meltdown, of which I'm a tad ashamed... 😔 But nothing too bad happened... Still, it's a bit of a longer Toot, and it has the meltdown in it, so I added the CW. 😊
#Journal of an ashamed Dutch AuDHD Pixy :pixy_party: (Saturday, 18/07/2026).
We didn’t have the worst night, but I didn’t feel all rested and good when we got up. Still, Koa told me it was time, so we started our “day”. I got to the scale, which was less bad than I thought it would be, and I dressed. I took my meds, which were very much welcome, and then I fixed Koa’s meal. When Koa had a full belly, we got to the couch, where I grabbed my laptop, and I started an email to my sweet friend.
I finished the email to my friend, and I had some brekkie. I started on my journal toot, and then I took Koa out for a short walk. It was cooler again outside, which was very nice indeed. We got back to the couch, where I finished my journal post, and I shared it to all the usual places. I put the laptop away, and tried to relax for a while.
I felt a bit uneasy, like something was bothering me, and I didn’t know what. Koa started to behave a bit like an asshat, trying to steal all sorts of things, and it was bugging me a lot. When he finally settled down again, I went upstairs to ride the bike for a while. Which went well enough. I got back down, and took Koa for a longer walk.
I noticed I was a bit more annoyed with him when he was not following properly, or trying to put everything in his mouth, you know, puppy behavior. And I just could not understand why it triggered me so much this time. I just thought it was because my back was still troubling me, and I felt tired as well. We got back, and then I fixed some food for Koa.
After that, I needed to relax for a bit. But… Koa was doing all sorts of things, and it triggered me so much, that I snapped. I felt that I was getting too angry, and I managed to pick up Koa and put him in the crate. But there was some yelling, I did smash a door, and I cried so much… I was just so overwhelmed, and I needed to take myself out of the situation, but I couldn’t as there was no one to “take over from me”, so I needed to fix things first… I felt so much anger, so much fear, and I knew I had to find a way to calm down again. I am glad, in a way, that I recognize autistic meltdowns better now, and I kinda know how to deal with them. But… Once I am calmer, I feel such a pain and shame…
I know that Koa wasn’t harmed, but I know I must have scared him, and I hated myself so much for that. I even tear up again while I am writing this. When I was calm again, when I had been able to breathe in and out, and reflect on the meltdown, I took Koa from the crate. He jumped into my arms, and he started to lick away all the tears that were falling… I felt so bad, so guilty, so horrible… And here he was. Just shy of 5 months, comforting me, not blaming me for anything… So I cuddled him as best as I could, while his fur was slowly getting wet and all. I was so grateful as I felt like he was forgiving me, maybe even apologizing for doing the things that made me so overwhelmed to begin with.
I started to feel a bit better again, and I took Koa out for a little walk. We got back, we relaxed, and then we got ready to drive to Oss, where I had to pick up my parcel. We arrived there well enough, but it was such a mess, that I had no idea what to do. I took Koa, and we walked to one of the men loading a van, and I just asked. My heart was going crazy, guess I still had not calmed down all the way from this morning’s bad episode. But, the man pointed me in the right direction with a smile. A little while further, 5 men were having some fun together, and all together, they pointed me into the same direction, all smiling, but also aware of the little bouncy dog that was with me. I managed to get my parcel, and Koa and I headed home again.
I unpacked the package, and took out the inlays. I cut them to the right size for my new shoes, and I saw that my old inlays were as dead as my old shoes. I put in the new ones, and then I fixed some food. A parcel with some snacks for Koa was being delivered, just before my food was done. I enjoyed my meal, unpacked Koa’s snacks, and saw they sent me something I didn’t order. It was something I could use, so yeah, I will just keep it. But I will need to find a place to order the things I do need now… So that’s some extra costs again, while the funds are not that high…
Koa and I relaxed for a while, and we went out for one more walk. Then, we headed to bed. I wanted to relax for a while, but I noticed I was so tired, that I dozed off before I knew it. I didn’t even get to finish my book, a Grisham one, that seems to take me forever to finish. Somehow, I have been trying to finish it for almost 2 months now. I wonder if I am slower with reading, if it’s a bigger book (and the digital pages are misleading, as they sometimes can be), or if I am just less interested in reading the last few weeks… But yeah, I dozed off and slept for a while.
I woke up for the loo, and Koa and I went outside. But, Koa wasn’t interested in doing anything, so after some minutes, we went back to bed. Koa woke me up for a potty break, and then, we got back to bed. He made some noises, but I begged him for some more sleep. And, somehow, he allowed me just that. When I woke up again, I was startled when I saw the clock. I checked my watch, and according to it, I had slept about 9¾ hours in total! Koa was very excited to hear me getting up, and I felt sore from the long lie in, but I also felt a bit more relaxed from the longer sleep. So, Koa and I got up, and we started our “day”.

Good evening Squirrel Fans.
Tonight’s quote seemed apt for our friends across the pond - the only differences being that, their choice has the dress sense of stunned banana & they have singularly failed to imprison the current incumbent even though they did convict them of 30 plus felonies! However on the drawing attention front there is little doubt they have a winner! :-
“The President in particular is very much a figurehead — he wields no real power whatsoever. He is apparently chosen by the government, but the qualities he is required to display are not those of leadership but those of finely judged outrage.
