Für CAs ist es mit der Entfernung des <keygen> Element aus dem HTML Standard in der Tat nicht mehr so einfach die Private Keys komfortabel im Browser des Kunden erstellen zu lassen, diese in dessen Zertifikatsverwaltung zu schieben, ... aber #CAcert hat eine technische Lösung gefunden (siehe https://blog.cacert.org/2024/02/finally-create-a-client-certificate-in-the-browser/ - auch wenn CAcert als allgemeine CA mangels Integration in den Browsern ausscheidet).

It's a rolling release, so it's got that going for it, but a lot/most of their custom utilities (such as the package manager) is still on Python 2, which is... not good.
/usr/bin/pythonis even a symlink topython2which is really not good.Small team. Looks like the original dev, who started a new distro, is going to re-work a lot of those things, which will be the basis for Solus going forward, so there's a lot of hope for newer and better utilities.
To be clear, my only real complaint so far is the python2-ness of it.
Also, they don't have a
kshpackage (which some of my scripts require), but I managed to compile the standard ksh2020.I don't know if I will stay. #Python2 is kind of a deal-breaker.
Still slowly replicating my #KDE #Plasma setup from my work #Debian box. I have a lot of custom keybinds that make it a little more like i3/sway for me.
My other options are Debian testing, #FreeBSD (probably will lose the ability to run KSP), or #OpenSuSE tumbleweed (if they can ever just enable polkit by default, already).

Time for some #Coltrane - an #NC native! Add to that one of my favorite trumpet players - #LeeMorgan. Playing one of only a few #BlueNote #TonePoet issues I have…I love the way they sound, but I don’t know that they sound any better than the Classic Vinyl Series reissues…which are also absolutely fantastic. (And were on sale last week…I may have been a bit irresponsible…)
But I’m sure some audiophile with a much more expensive system will claim there is a huge difference…
Tone Poet or not it sounds amazing. Someday I need to get the RVG stereo mix.

My first #JazzDispensary pressing. I’ve never listened to this album before, but the vinyl is dead quiet. (I’m also really, really enjoying the album. It was an impulse purchase from a discogs seller I had already added a few things to the cart from.)

This was a pain in the hole to load for the first time, but so far I already like it better than the Stearman Press tank…looking forward to seeing how these first 6 sheets came out. Also my first foray into HC-110 dilution B. 270 ml solution made with 8.5 ml of concentrate. Running for 10:40 at 17.9°.

I shot a few rolls and sheets of #IlfordFP4 over the last few weeks, so I'm finally ready for a few entries for #FP4Party.
I'll start with a shot from my #Graflex in/near #Asheville. This particular shot was from an overlook on the #BlueRidgeParkway heading toward Craggy Gardens. Shot with a red filter. The 3000 px resolution doesn't do it justice…zooming in on the treeline on the full 4x5 scan is awesome. I've included a snippet of a screenshot as an example.

Just got back home. My crazy ass hauled this a mile and a half up to the top of Craggy Pinnacle (5890 ft) and back…I hope the pictures turn out well. Blew through a roll of #KodakTriX in the SLR, and between today and separate stops yesterday I did 12 sheets of #IlfordFP4 in the #Graflex. Also came home to some HC-110 that I ordered, so I’m looking forward to testing it out. I’ve never used it before.
It’s also the first time I’ve been on the Parkway since Helene. There are entire sections of sides of mountains where almost all the trees are down. It was bizarre. There wasn’t a great place to pull over and get a picture. I also saw two black bear cubs and an adult. In one day!
