Speaking of Tapdole, I just finshed #listening to their 2013 album E M;

This album has no vocals, I'm not sure it even has any live instruments. It's like someone took an empty Jamiesons bottle, filled it with moonshine, and put it on the bottle store shelf. Even if the moonshine is fantastic - and E M is pretty good - it's not like Jamiesons.

It sounds more like Optimus Gryme than the Tadpole of The Buddhafinger or The Medusa.

Tadpole news: some of them already metamorphosed into tiny frogs, and because I failed to collect insects that are suitable diet for 5mm frogs (they did not want to eat ants which I can understand), I released the first batch in a nearby pond. They seemed to be content with my decision:)

#tadpole news: a couple of them died, one got almost completely eaten by its siblings by the time I found it. The rest is healthy, agile and eating a lot. They seem to like cucumbers and spinach, lettuce not so much. Also fed them egg yolk, not sure if it was eaten or dissolved into mud…

And because some already have four legs, added a rock for dry land, and saw two sitting on it. I guess I will have to start hunting for small insects…

Passed by an almost dried up puddle full of tadpoles on today’s bike ride, and I could not resist rescuing a bunch of them in a small bottle. They survived the trip and are happily feeding on cooked cucumber in a small aquarium that has been vacant in the last 15 years (last inhabitants were tree frog tadpoles).

They're soooo tiny that I'm afraid to feed them fruitflies yet, so I've just been adding springtails and catching ants outside 😅 it's so much easier to feed them when they're tadpoles content with water plants and detritus, heh.

Various stages of development of Western Toads (Anaxyrus boreas) at Frog Lake, Mt. Hood National Forest, Oregon. (Well, at least the first three are. The final picture may be a different frog or toad; I am terrible at telling the difference when they are in that stage.)

There were hundreds of these little toads hoping around in the mud and shallow water around the lake! They were so fun to watch.
