Okay, I can do a before and after shot of my tadpoles now that they've come out to play. First pic is from when they first hatched back in October. They're growing so well.

I'm not surprised by this at all, but my first try at knitting the colourwork flip-top mittens didn't fit the way I wanted to. The thumb is a little weird and the opening isn't quite in the right place. Time to start over!

...which means I probably won't have them done in time for my trip in a few weeks, but they'll be warm for next winter I guess?

Having a bit of an unhurried morning, which makes it one of the rare times I can justify making my tea in this gaiwan (the small pot), which involves several small steeps in sequence to savor the changes in flavor. The tea tray was my gift to myself last year, a complete self-indulgence, along with the little frog "tea pet." Makes me feel silly and happy at the same time.

I’m only really interested in non5/7/5 haiku as per #Frogpond and #ModernHaiku
So far I’ve just been tagging my posts with a simple #haiku tag most of the time but these posts tend to get drowned out by people writing 5/7/5 haiku and haiku-bots posting automatically generated nonsense
Maybe if we can come up with an appropriate hashtag we can create a group and link posts about non5/7/5 haiku to the group
