Jasny salon z dużymi oknami to od lat największy wróg technologii OLED. Choć te panele oferują doskonały kontrast i idealną czerń, to błyszczące matryce bardzo często działają jak lustro, skutecznie psując komfort rozgrywki w ciągu dnia. Samsung próbuje rozwiązać ten problem za pomocą nowej serii telewizorów OLED S90H, w której producent postawił na zaawansowaną powłokę antyrefleksyjną oraz parametry techniczne skrojone bezpośrednio pod wymagających graczy konsolowych oraz pecetowych.
Dla nas, jako użytkowników szukających uniwersalnego ekranu, to ważna ewolucja rynkowa. Zamiast zmuszać graczy do przemeblowania pokoju lub kupowania grubych zasłon zaciemniających, technologia wreszcie dostosowuje się do realiów współczesnych mieszkań, łącząc zalety organicznych pikseli z komfortem matowych monitorów.

Konstrukcja pozwala zachować głęboką czerń (potwierdzoną certyfikatem Real Black od VDE na poziomie poniżej 0,005 nitów) nawet wtedy, gdy na telewizor padają promienie słońca.
Z perspektywy technicznej model S90H wyróżnia się pakietem rozwiązań dla graczy o nazwie Ultimate Gaming Pack. Telewizor oferuje pełne wsparcie dla standardów VRR, NVIDIA G-Sync oraz AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, eliminując rwanie obrazu i minimalizując opóźnienia (input lag).
Po podłączeniu konsol nowej generacji ekran obsługuje natywne odświeżanie 4K przy 120 Hz. Z kolei użytkownicy komputerów osobistych z mocnymi kartami graficznymi mogą podkręcić częstotliwość odświeżania aż do 165 Hz, co gwarantuje wyjątkową ostrość i płynność w dynamicznych strzelankach oraz grach wyścigowych.

Oprogramowanie potrafi samodzielnie rozpoznać gatunek uruchomionej gry i dopasować parametry obrazu do specyfiki rozgrywki. Przydatnym dodatkiem jest również Panel Gracza, który pozwala kontrolować parametry takie jak FPS czy VRR oraz powiększać minimapę bez przerywania zabawy.
Podczas zakupu warto jednak dokładnie przeanalizować specyfikację techniczną, ponieważ poszczególne przekątne różnią się oferowanymi możliwościami:
Modele o rozmiarach 55, 65, 77 i 83 cale wyposażono w technologię OLED HDR+, która zapewnia wyższą jasność i bogatszy kontrast, a także zaawansowany standard AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.
Mniejsze warianty 42 i 48 cali posiadają podstawową wersję OLED HDR o standardowej luminancji. Najmniejszy, 42-calowy model otrzymał ponadto uboższy system synchronizacji FreeSync Premium (bez dopisku Pro).
Urządzenie charakteryzuje się bardzo smukłą obudową Laser Slim Design.
