A #mastersdegree isn't the #job guarantee it used to be
Now master's-degree holders under 35 are at the 77th percentile of #unemployment, where the 50th percentile is normal, according to the Burning Glass analysis. "It's hardly a sure bet to securing a good job." Even associate-degree holders have had a higher #employment level for the past year.
At the same time, the unemployment rate for workers under 35 with a Ph.D., law degree or medical degree has rarely been lower.

This has to be the good news story of the day, and one in the eye for the people arguing about immigration!Congratulations to Gurvin Chopra on receiving her Masters Degree in Bristol. The oppressive rule of the Taliban meant her parents were illiterate, but after fleeing to the UK Gurvin received a good education and learned to read and write.

Since I couldn’t attend my master’s degree ceremony in person, I celebrated by gathering everything meaningful to this journey: a doll-sized ceremony suit (because no real photo from the event!), and pins from the three universities where I’ve been teaching for years—Sripatum, Mae Fah Luang, and Prince of Songkla.
Even though work commitments kept me away, I’m still proud that not even a global pandemic could stop me from completing my degree! 💪✨

I'm immensely proud of my wife, @likeawednesday.
She worked tirelessly on her #DataScience #MastersDegree at #BellevueUniversity for two grueling years during the pandemic, and now all of her hard work has finally paid off. She just accepted a new #DataAnalyst position with #StrategicAmerica, starting later this month!
Erin will be working primarily with #Salesforce #Tableau, whereas I'm a dyed-in-the-wool #Microsoft #PowerBI #fanboi, so we'll soon have a bitter #rivalry in our household. #ThereWillBeBlood! 🤬😏
Kidding aside, every tool has its own #superpowers and #shortcomings, and I know that Power BI can do certain things that Tableau can't do, but I'm also sure that the reverse is true as well.
Erin and I frequently talk about the #ToolsAndTechniques we use at work during our lunches and evening walks, and I'm genuinely looking forward to #learning more about #TheDarkSide from her, as we continue honing each other's minds like iron sharpening iron. ⚔️
