  7. @MiaMarkTwo #Apprenticeships are the obvious way to train nurses (and other professions allied to health) but the government aren't just not funding the training, they are not funding the recruitment of nurses either.

    It does seem like we're deep in to a vicious cycle here as hospitals were also struggling to give staff the time needed to train anyway, as they get more short-staffed this situation will only be compounded.

    I’ve witnessed young people struggle to continue doing apprenticeships, because their families cannot support them and their employers see individuals on this path as cheap and disposable.
