  4. Back in March, I posted that Troop 502 in Mt Pleasant, SC attempted the largest blanket fort ever, but they didn't quite get it. They went back and evaluated their process to prepare for a 2nd attempt in May.

    That May attempt was just confirmed by Guinness to be the largest blanket fort this world has ever seen. Felicitations to the girls and boys of Troop 502 and Pack 502!

    162 years ago today, in the opening salvo of the #CivilWar, South Carolina militia fired upon the Union-held #FortSumter, located on an island in #Charleston's harbor. The rebel shore batteries bombarded Major Robert Anderson's federal troops for 34 hours before the fort was evacuated.
