I find the use of #LiquidGlass on things that are typically not glass totally stupid.

Like the glass envelope in the Mail icon, and glass gears in the Settings icon. 🫠

…bring back paper and metal textures where appropriate you cowards.

#LINE has now updated its iOS app with a #LiquidGlass design, but it means that most of the wonderful theme graphics are gone.

The bottom navigation bar (which has now been changed to a standard Liquid Glass nav bar) used to be the main graphical element of most themes. Sad times.

And their implementation is particularly poor, with the bar constantly snapping (not even fading) between light and dark as you switch views.

Whats people's opinion to Notch apps? I got asked if Daft Music could get a Mini Player and I'm thinking to add one as a Notch app?

Ah yes, #LiquidGlass #itJustWorks.
The toast on top has the exact styling as the #SwiftUI ToolBars but somehow is still using a lighter shade, messing with contrast a bit.

A couple of days ago I installed the #publicbeta of #ios27, and I quite like it. It feels quicker and more refined than any previous public beta I have tested.

And yes, my #liquidglass is set to 75% opacity to balance the effect with legibility.

With this new iOS 27, I’ve got to readjust all the toggles in my toolbar. The background colors I had set up with .tint are completely messed up now. On top of that, it seems like tap responsiveness for navigation links and stuff has actually gotten worse. It’s really frustrating.

Based on this article, I cranked up Liquid Glass to max as well. Wish me luck. Luckily I'm already almost blind. No damage done.

While the app is not much in terms of functionality, it still offers just enough. Having a more unified look and feel shouldn't be that hard.

I need to get used to the swipe gesture to search from anywhere. We’ve always had to return to the home screen then swipe down to search. Very convenient to have that everywhere.

I haven’t mentioned it much yet, but Daft Music for iOS is out. (I shadow dropped it on Friday)

It took me a while to get into the groove, especially after Apple dropped the Apple Music update on iOS, but I hope you enjoy using it as much as I do.

macOS27 seems fine. Just Xcode 26 is not starting directly (which is important if you upload now a build to AppStore Connect).

Opening the Binary directly through the Terminal still opens it without a problem

I made some quick Daft Music fixes. I'm not a big fan of the more grayish blurred liquid glass style. That’s why I toned it a bit down. (before and after image)
