I mean, I *think* this is a well known trick in the Shortcuts community? But if you’re adding custom icons to your Homescreen to launch apps, adding the “Nothing” action first prevents a Shortcuts notification from showing when you launch it.

Fighting all day to get @zenitizer to play nicely with #SiriAI. All this worked so well with "Old Siri" via #Shortcuts / #AppIntents but this is a lot trickier 😞
At least querying, playing and stopping meditations through media playback schema works now (the most important bit) 😅

A quick reminder about one of my favorite Shortcuts—something I use every single day. Super simple, but incredibly useful: it converts rich text from the clipboard into plain text and copies it right back.

@Edent Much like @andypiper I'd very much prefer a more open/federated solution. However, I just realised it should be easy to replicate at least the announcement posts using #Apple's #Shortcuts app and @MonaApp . E.g. share a location from Apple Maps to the Shortcut and it'll create a #Mastodon post with the name, address, and that you're there now.
Using @simonbs's #Scriptable, one could maybe even make more complex things like looking up posts for a venue (or creating if not found) and adding the check-in as a reply to those - which will allow for discussions with/recommendations from other visitors. Something like that. And similar things should be possible using #Tasker on #Android.

An #Apple developer working on the #Shortcuts "Show Alert" action that prompts the user to tap a button decided that if the iPhone was locked when the shortcut ran, it would stop executing before showing the alert. Even after unlocking, the shortcut doesn't show the alert. The shortcut just failed!
But that's not all the idiocy. If you change the volume in the shortcut and then use the "Speak" action, it ignores the volume you've chosen. But the action doesn't let you set the volume either. 🙄

Is it just me, or has macOS 27 removed the Shortcuts launcher from the menu bar?
What’s the fastest way to launch a shortcut now? Typing the shortcut’s name into Spotlight rarely works. And when it does, it’s slow as hell.

Am I the only one getting slammed with politics sms spam?
I built these iPhone #shortcuts to report to 7726 (SPAM) / unsubscribe.
I think they’re not too complicated aside from the Automation setup in the video.
