Sometimes technology is so frustrating. Apple Shortcuts now randomly fails to fetch artwork from Apple Music when it worked perfectly before. So I’ve now had to add loads of logic and checks and revert back to simple links when artwork isn’t available. Annoying. #JonsMusicShortcuts #AppleShortcuts

TIL that in Mac OS 26, the Shortcuts app now has Automations available. (Like "run this at 6pm" or "run this when I open this app" or whatever - it was only available on iOS previously.)

I am very excited about this. I expect that the makers of Shortery, an app that previously filled in this functionality gap, are not.

Tweaked this a little so instead of displaying the final result it will:

1.Still copy it to clipboard just in case

2. Create a notes folder Weekly Report if it’s not there yet

3. Create a new note with today’s date as a title and put all your events there.

Tried it today - soooo much better than doing all that manually.

P.S.: for quite some time I struggled to find real use cases for #appleshortcuts but I guess it finally starts to dawn on me 🙌🏻
