I loooove the new Siri UI coming from the Dynamic Island. Apple designers have truly crafted that lil pill. 😍

I need to get used to the swipe gesture to search from anywhere. We’ve always had to return to the home screen then swipe down to search. Very convenient to have that everywhere.

Oprócz wydanych dziś systemów w wersji RC 26.6, Apple udostępniło deweloperom kolejną, czwartą już betę systemów 27.

Choć same systemy wnoszą sporo zmian, tak z bety na betę nowości pojawia się coraz mniej.

W przypadku wydanych dziś czwartych wersji testowych warto nadmienić informacje, które udało się odnaleźć w kodzie iOS 27. Dotyczą one baterii, a konkretnie tekstów, które wskazują na liczbę mnogą baterii. To kolejna sugestia, że składany iPhone może być tuż za rogiem. Kiedy możemy się go spodziewać, to pokaże tylko czas…

A good third of my dev time over the last month has been trying to figure out a workaround. The bug does not exist on iOS 26 so I feel pretty helpless unless Apple fixes whatever obscure thing is causing the issue.

Hopefully all of this will improve but it kind of feels like it's meant to appeal to chatbot fanboys and throwing previous heavy users of Siri under the bus.

Siri is great a a chat bot to get information but, I think in many ways it's a downgrade.

Looking in the Siri app & seeing it save any random, throw away question feels like it's giving something to now manage. More so if I were to use it for some more useful conversations I’d want to keep.

The whole Siri staying open after asking to turn the lights off or set a reminder seems odd. More times than not it takes too long to process what I asked even for things that were instant.

Question for #SwiftUI folks on the new #ios27 reorder API (.reorderable()/.reorderContainer(for:)):

The OS multi-pickup gesture works — long-press one item, tap a second to add it to the drag session, and it visually picks up both.

But ReorderDifference.sources in the move closure only ever reports 1 item, never 2. Tried both dragContainer overloads — no luck.

Anyone seen this / know the trick?

I can’t believe how much faster my iPad mini feels after installing #iOS27 on it. Apple really screwed up with #iOS26.

@plwt Interesting… good to know, thanks. I might give it another look when they arrive. I’m sure Safari will feel brand-new again when #iOS27 is released. Any views on podcast apps?

And don’t get me started on #ToDo apps. I’ve tried #Todoist, #Reminders and now I’m back to #Things3. I’ve bought it for #macOS and #iOS (I don’t use #iPadOS enough to warrant it), but Reminders has come a long way and it just works everywhere. With #iOS27 on the way, is it worth using stock apps?

In iOS 27 Beta 3, I really like the cute animation ( genie effect ) that happens when you dismiss a notification. It minimizes to the clock, which visually reinforces that the top left is where to swipe for notifications. The middle is now reserved for Siri. #apple #ios27 #ios27beta #ux
