I’m toying with this idea of “personality driven software development” — software that is largely shaped by the personality, humanity, trauma, quirks, interests of the (usually single) main author of it. I think there is quite a bit of software like this, often in the #oss space, a lot by #indiedevelopers and #indiegames of course.

@Fenreliania How good or bad this works depends on how much a Platform Owner wants #IndieDevelopers on their #Platform:
None of the 3 big Platform holders are obligated to support #W4Games.
And #Valve never even attempted to turn the #SteamDeck into a #WalledGarden to begin with...
But with the #SoftwareDrought on #XboxSeries, #PS5 and a bit on #NintendoSwitch the chances are good however for them to get something worked out.

@reustle Following hashtags is a great way of finding people with shared interests. It only adds to your home feed a subset of the posts your instance is already aware of, but on even a small instance the #federated timeline quickly becomes very broad. There are also a variety of tools from #IndieDevelopers, but the ones that rely on the #TwitterAPI are doomed, if they haven't stopped working already (e.g. #Movetodon).

Dear #IndieDevelopers. There are fifty eleven rouge likes made every day. Which is neat. But I'd like to see a Populous like. It think it was a great game, but suffered from such low low resolution.
I am curious of what a modern Populous would look like, with a big visible playfield.
