Emacs è stato inizialmente sviluppato negli anni '70 al MIT AI Lab. Io son venuto al mondo nel 1977....
Gnu Emacs, la variante oggi maggiormente usata, quella che uso su Linux, è del 1985....All'epoca manco immaginavo cosa fosse un computer e men che meno un editor !!
Già solo per il fatto che siamo più o meno coevi mi rende Emacs simpatico !

It's extensions what make GNOME good against its shocking decisions in design and usability.
It's suffering from what I call "overshooting". Their main concep is soo prioritized, everything else is eliminated.

If you get an update, and you use Windows, you barely notice and you spend all weekend enjoying what ever it is you do with your device
