I wrote a letter to new contributors sending their first pull request to Apache Superset: https://github.com/apache/superset/wiki/New-Contributor-Welcome-&-Expectations and will be adding this as an auto-comment on these PRs.

When I tag an issue "good first issue" I find it gets PRs submitted quickly, that seem to be 100% AI, from people with no connection to the project. Why? For perceived status? Weird times. #AI #oss

Someone is running a spear phishing attack against my tiny business, which feels unexpected given the size of my organization (just me).

Could you recommend some simple ways I can stop the attack? It involves extremely well-designed emails from various compromised email addresses that impersonate the SendGrid system and use very plausible messages.

My main concern is that this could evolve into something more sinister. I don't mind blocking all emails containing "SendGrid," but I would rather do something that could make those people move on and not come back.

I need your collective wisdom/knowledge. I’m looking for #software that allows me to open and view #pdf files on a #Linux distribution and #encrypt them with a password. I’d like to be able to not only define who is allowed to view the file at all, but also to protect specific permissions with the password (print permission, copy permission).
With #qpdf, I can configure this very easily via the terminal.
However, I need a piece of software – preferably open source – that offers this with a graphical user interface. Do you know of any such software?

What do you use to encrypt pdf files?

While a prisoner at Stalag Luft III, he was known as known as the "Cooler King.” Sage was portrayed by actor Steve McQueen in the 1963 movie The Great Escape LOOSELY based on the true story. After numerous attempts, Sage made his final escape across Poland after being a POW for over 3 years.
