  1. #Americans still believe that
    because they #democratically #voted
to put that pervert piece of shit #Trump
and the dickheads who support him
    in power
they can also vote to take power away from him

    it doesn't work like that

to 'democratically vote' first you need a Democratic Government (that no longer exists)
respects to the 'right to vote' (that is not respected)
    ensures for honest elections
    (which are not assured)
    so
the 'democratic 'I vote you out''
is not really a 'thing' in Trumplandia

  6. #DictatorDon is going hog-wild in DC sending Armed Troops into the streets of a major American city (using false claims of rampant crime as justification) b/c he has unfettered control of #DC.

PAY ATTENTION, b/c this is what he'd do in EVERY #Democratically controlled city if he could (and his SCotUS & lapdog #GOP #Congress would happily give him the power to do.)

  7. We have to be honest & pragmatic

With the USA reneging on support treaties Calling #Ukraine the aggressor threating #Canada #Panama #Greenland with annexation (invasion)
Forcing all the allies to act counter to #Trump & form an opposing alliance.

    Calling #Putin and #Chairman #Kim mates while criticising #Trudeau #zelensky & other #Democratically elected leaders.
    One thing is obvious

#USA is now a member of the #axis-of-evil #enemy-states and not part of the #free-world

Jon Stewart on the immediate and creeping #authoritarian #fascism. He advocates discernment in response.

"Unfortunately, as of now, [#Trump]'s pretty much just #democratically grabbing us by the pussy"

  10. I think everyone should at least know the Ten #Strategies For #Manipulation Through Mass #Media by #NoamChomsky. The so-called #elites have obviously understood these concepts & they have the means to bring compliant sycophants to #power #democratically. #FailedState www.ejfi.org/Civilization...

  11. 🧵(5/12) The economy Obama inherited from Bush continued to crash and by November 2009, #Unemployment hit 9.9%.

#Obama & the #Democratically controlled Congress passed the "Nat'l Recovery act", which poured 3/4 of a Trillion dollars into the economy and unemployment finally started to fall.

By the time Obama left office in 2017, unemployment was back down to just 4.5%.

Hillary, who ran against Obama in 2008, was the presumed Dem frontrunner as VP #Biden deferred following the death of his son.

  12. @YouGiveMeFever
    ALSO:

Anyone thinking "we can just elect a #Democratically controlled #Congress" to keep T**** in check:

    1) #Project2025 lays out how T**** can do everything by "#ExecutiveOrder", bypassing #Congress.

    2) #SCotUS has placed the #Potus #AboveTheLaw and declared his actions "can't even be questioned."

So, it's Win the WH or it's all over. No "backup plan". #TheProsecutorVsTheFelon #Harris4President #Harris2024 #Buttigieg4VP

  13. If the majority of #Americans decide
    #democratically (funny)
    to prefer #Dictatorship to #Democracy...
and it is a choice (the last one they will be able to make for a long time)
    made Democratically
    well
    if that's what they want...
    BUT
    >the numbers DO NOT add up<
    they have never 'add up'
    #Trump NEVER had a #majority of votes
    NEVER
    not in 2016 too
Trump was NEVER 'chosen' by the 'majority' of #Americans

Trump it's not a #We the People 'choice'

    so... Trump shouldn't be.

  14. 1953: Iran

"After the United States established the CIA in 1947, it began to use the agency to #overthrow or prop up foreign governments in a much more covert way. Before WWII, the United States didn’t try to hide its interventions in foreign governments. But with the onset of the Cold War, the United States became much more concerned about hiding its actions from the Soviet Union, Kinzer says.

"'In the 1950s, at the height of the Cold War, it was a priority for President Eisenhower and [Director of Central Intelligence] Allen Dulles to assure that America always had #PlausibleDeniability,' he says. 'Eisenhower was probably the last president who believed that you could do these things and nobody would ever find out.'

"In 1953, the CIA orchestrated a coup of Iran’s #democratically elected prime minister, #MohammadMosaddegh, in order to consolidate power with Iran’s shah (or king), #MohammadRezaPahlavi. Declassified CIA documents claim the coup—known internally as Operation Ajax—was designed to prevent possible 'Soviet aggression
in Iran, but Iranian-American historian Ervand Abrahamian has argued the real motivation had more to do with securing U.S. #oil interests."

  18. #Students are making moves to ditch their #profiteering #landlords

"It currently has ten #coops under its umbrella. #SCH works with students who would usually struggle to get #housing. It aims to support them to create #democratically run student housing #cooperatives that remove what it calls 'profiteering landlords' and make #rents #affordable. Moreover, the basis for the idea is evidenced around the world."
