What’s one thing people get wrong about your area of expertise?
I'll start (neuroscience): we can’t really “read the brain.” A lot of neuro methods don’t directly measure neural activity, but indirect signals: blood flow, electrical fields etc.
And there's a lot of math involved.

Wenn der Bundestag bei der Gesetzgebung (Legislative) auch über die eigenen Fachleute und die wissenschaftlichen Dienste hinaus noch außerparlamentarische Expertise hinzuziehen will - Fachleute, Verbände, auch Mitarbeitende der Exekutive, Ministerinnen usw. -, so können diese jederzeit in die Fachausschüsse geladen werden.
Das wäre dann auch öffentlich und transparent, also im besten Sinne demokratisch und republikanisch.
Es gibt m.E. einfach keinen guten Grund, unseren demokratisch gewählten Bundestag und das Grundgesetz immer weiter zugunsten von Parteien-Hinterzimmern mimetisch zu schwächen!

Danke, genau so. Warum wohl wurde ich als unabhängiger (!) Gutachter & sachverständiger Zeuge sogar mehrfach vor Gericht (Judikative) geladen? Weil auch deutsche Gerichte längst die Eigenständigkeit wissenschaftlicher Expertise in der Urteilsfindung anerkennen und zur Anwendung bringen. Auch die Judikative stützt sich längst auch auf die Scientikative, ohne diese zu verabsolutieren.
