If you r using #adroid #meshtastic app on device with internet connection (normal smartphone) go to three dot menu and 'module configuration' and 'MQTT' and toggle MQTT to ON and proxy to ON. That will / should unleash a torrent of contacts... as it cheats and shoves your messages down the internet too, to pop out miles away.... it was hilarious to watch it happen... magic... felt like ET phoning home. #MQTT -

@greppy the #thirdreality motion sensors control the lights in both home offices, the basement, and the "guest" bathroom, currently. Eventually, they'll be in the other 1.5 baths. My original motion sensors were #sonoff ones, but one never worked properly, the other developed the same false triggers constantly.
The temp/humidity were just added tonight for all 3 bedrooms (2 as home offices), the hallway upstairs, main level, and basement. Eventually I'll feed that data to #mqtt or something.

After successfully installing valetudo on my roborock s7, I added it into HomeAssistant via mqtt and made 2 custom notifications through HomeAssistant if the vacuum cleaner is done or stuck. So now I have pretty much the same functionality than before but without using the Xiaomi cloud. Awesome!! #valetudo #roborocks7 #HomeAssistant #mqtt #smartvacuum

Ok, I've successfully containerised and deployed a test #dotnet core app to this industrial #iot gateway sbc ... my reward is that I'm now allowed to go out and play, knowing I'm one step further to the goal. At least my pipeline seems happy now.
I just need to migrate my c# #MQTT->#MySql database server code from my #raspberrypi to this #IMX8 box, but I think that part should be frictionless, so... going out time it is :) -

how are you wonderful folks tracking outbound internet connectivity?I have redundant ISPs and am finding that my primary fails too softly for an automated cutover of my #UDMPro (long pings, packet loss, not fully down).
I’m looking at just cutting power to the modem if I can detect downtime from HA.
I have the ping integration up and running now, is there a way to get packet loss measurements into #HomeAssistant / #MQTT ?

After getting some USB extension cables and adding the excellent rtl_433 and rtl_433 to MQTT auto-discovery to @homeassistant I can now successfully read the cheap temperature/humidity sensors I have spread around the apartment with relative ease.
Still working on getting my doorbell running as a button, but I suspect I need to change the configuration a bit before it behaves as I desire.

Today I’m moving my air quality birb from an @adafruit Feather RP2040 to a Feather ESP32-S2 (by #unexpectedmaker ). Then with some minor tweaking I’ll have it sharing its data with #homeassistant via #mqtt

The BlackLotus #Bootkit has been upgraded to exploit a vulnerability in Microsoft's Secure Boot Mechanism, allowing it to persist on fully patched Windows 11 systems.
