Почтовый ящик пандоры. Какие сервисы работают с внешними почтовыми клиентами в России в 2026 году
Когда очередной мессенджер внезапно перестает работать без специальных инструментов, о которых теперь нельзя публично упоминать вслух, многие неожиданно вспоминают, что до эпохи «ватсапов» и «телеграмов» человечество вполне успешно общалось по электронной почте. Тем более что адрес e-mail сегодня есть практически у каждого. Правда, стоило пользователям снова вспомнить об этой технологии, как выяснилось, что и здесь не всё спокойно. С месяц назад в Рунете начали циркулировать тревожные слухи: популярные почтовые сервисы вроде Яндекс Почты и Mail.ru якобы один за другим отключают бесплатный доступ по протоколам IMAP, POP3 и SMTP, благодаря которым почта десятилетиями работала через привычные внешние клиенты. Почитав новости (в том числе и на Хабре), я решил разобраться, какие службы действительно продолжают работать с почтовыми программами вместо веб-интерфейса и насколько удобно ими пользоваться. Результатами этих изысканий и хочу сегодня поделиться. Ну, и что пока еще работает?

Today at 1am I noticed that my mail server wasn't working well since 2 weeks and that lead to a fun quest about fixing it that took me a few hours.
I'm not working theses days as i'm starting a new job in 1 month so I had time to dig to fix it...The visible symptom was that gmail wasn't able to fetch my mails via pop3.
First issue was that the debian trixie migration got me #dovecot 2.4 instead of the 2.3 that was there before and it's NOT a minor version bump, they essentially re-wrote a new configuration file format... And obviously my docker image didn't have a "dovecot -n" anywhere to check the configuration
The second issue was that gmail only goes to IPv6 if possible and that was broken too after a long search I didn't find why, but the default route wasn't obtained via dhcpv6, forcing it enabled and rebooting the VM solved that one.
If only I hadn't deleted the #POP3 connection in gmail, now it needs to download back the 40k emails of my inbox again and show me all the ones I deleted gmail side only 🤣

Besoin d’aide pour préparer une opération de #migration de boites #mails.
Là, j’en ai qui ont nettement plus de 20 ans et qui vont rechanger d’hébergeur, mais c’est surtout qu’elles sont toutes en #POP3 (option garde tout sur le serveur) et centralisées dans #Thunderbird (ouais, ça fait un maousse dossier sur mon SSD).
Là, va falloir passer tout ça en #IMAP avant la migration (chez @infomaniak_network) et la dernière fois que j’ai fait ça ( y a bien 10 ans), j’ai perdu tous mes mails.

Gmail dejará de permitir la gestión de cuentas externas mediante POP3
En un movimiento que busca priorizar la seguridad y la modernización de su servicio, Google ha anunciado que Gmail dejará de ser compatible con el protocolo POP3 para gestionar correos de cuentas externas. Esta decisión obligará a millones de usuarios que centralizan sus correos de otros proveedores en Gmail a buscar alternativas más seguras como IMAP o la vinculación mediante Gmailify.
Gmail se prepara para un cambio técnico de gran calado que afectará la forma en que muchos usuarios gestionan sus bandejas de entrada. El protocolo POP3 (Post Office Protocol), que durante décadas ha permitido descargar correos de servidores externos para leerlos en Gmail, será desactivado de forma definitiva. Según Google, el protocolo POP3 es «obsoleto» y presenta vulnerabilidades de seguridad significativas, ya que no fue diseñado para las exigencias de cifrado y autenticación de la web moderna.
A partir de la fecha de implementación, los usuarios que tengan configuradas cuentas de Outlook, Yahoo o dominios personalizados mediante POP3 en su configuración de Gmail dejarán de recibir nuevos mensajes. Google recomienda realizar la transición al protocolo IMAP, que ofrece una sincronización bidireccional más robusta, o utilizar Gmailify, la herramienta propia de la compañía que permite disfrutar de las funciones de protección contra spam y organización de Gmail en cuentas de terceros sin necesidad de protocolos antiguos.
Este cambio es parte de un esfuerzo más amplio de Google por eliminar tecnologías heredadas que suponen un riesgo para la privacidad de los datos. Aunque la medida pueda generar molestias temporales para quienes han utilizado la misma configuración por años, la empresa asegura que es un paso necesario para garantizar un entorno de correo electrónico más seguro. Se espera que en las próximas semanas Gmail comience a mostrar avisos dentro de la aplicación a los usuarios afectados para que realicen la migración antes del cierre definitivo del servicio.

This doesn't affect me, but I thought others might want to know since Google hasn't really announced it. Google has dropped POP3 email consolidation and gmailify services from Gmail. IMAP is still ok.
No explanation, but likely because passwords in POP3 are sent in plain text.

Ich rate jetzt definitiv von einem account bei @mailbox_org ab.
Der Support ist unterirdisch, man bekommt nur Herumstocher-Empfehlungen bezüglich der Einstellungen, und ein klar benanntes Problem wird nicht mal angeschaut, geschweige denn, dass man problembezogene Hinweise bekommt, z.B. welche Abfrageintervalle bei POP3 vom Server tatsächlich akzeptiert werden.
Ich habe jetzt dysfunktionale POP3-Zugänge, die mal gehen, und mal nicht, je nach den mir unbekannten Regeln, die ich offensichtlich auch nicht kennen darf.
Und einen "Support", der lediglich herumstochert und mir mit heißen Tipps kommt wie "Ändern sie doch mal die Email-App-Passwörter", und dass ich bitte aufpassen möchte, diese bei verschiedenen Accounts doch nicht zu verwechseln.
