You know what the new Atari could do? Produce new Jaguar six button joypads. Okay, okay, after you're done rolling your eyes, hear me out: The tooling for a new version of these actually exists, Hoskinson Industries did a run of those and put a hell of a lot of effort into them. They came out in 2018 and I managed to get three new ones back in 2020. Think they sold out in 2021 or so. Anyway: Get that, make an USB adapter to use this thing with Switch or Playstation or PC and make some small marketing campaign around them, surely enough big Youtubers and gaming news outlets will cover it. Jag users would be delighted to get a decent new controller for a fair price, other peeps might be interested enough to give this one a go with their Atari 50 superduper edition. And then, maybe, the road is a bit further paved to see a Jaguar+ console become reality in my lifetime. But I digress. The Pro Controller idea though: Go for it, Atari! 👍🍀

I just finished replaying Half-Life. Even though it's an old FPS, i still enjoyed the level design and all the details that made navigating the facility eventful and fun.
Since i wanted to play it on the couch, i used the Darkwalker Shotpad. It's a fitting controller for old PC games, when i don't want to sit at the desk.
I'm looking forward to trying the new Steam Controller, hopefully it'll be easier to hold. 😁

The #N64 controller is one most unique mainstream console controllers ever made and brought analogue controls to the masses. But for some reason nobody appears to be able to create proper replacements, which stay true to the original while using modern technology. I own the #Tribute64 V2 so I could play the #Zelda source ports on the #SteamDeck but the wireless configuration is a mess and the the input setup can be quite fiddly. And I finally ordered a an official N64 controller for the Switch which can be used on PC.
Too bad it stays too true to the original in one critical aspect: It uses the same stick design prone to wear. 🙈 At least it's said to be properly lubed... but I better not be playing #MarioParty 1 with that thing. :ugly:
