An #introduction. We are #MCQN_Ltd, an #IndieMfg company in #Liverpool.

We make (and sell) gentle, Internet-connected objects, and help others build their #embedded and #IoT projects. So expect anything from Internet-connected bubble machines to sensors on wave-energy #prototypes.

We're strong believers in #OpenSource; both #firmware and #electronics/#PCB.

#OpenHardware #OSHW.

And we work with many #microcontrollers including #ESP32 #ESP8266 #Arduino and #RaspberryPi.

Reading the page on https://masto.host fully, I see it's also going to check that for me and then email when it's done. So, it seems I'm done already.

Seems from the discussion on my poll - https://mastodon.me.uk/@amcewen/108237486229240941 - that social.mcqn.com is the way to go with the #MCQN_Ltd mastodon instance.

(Although I'm a bit disappointed I didn't think of pub.mcqn.com until @nicol suggested it, then it could've been in the initial poll! I think social... still wins out, but that's a fun second choice)

As part of my long-standing moving over here from birdsite (and elsewhere), I'm working out how #MCQN_Ltd can have a presence here.

I'm (reasonably) convinced that all the company's accounts should live on its own instance, much as we would with email (with one eye towards setting conventions to make it easier for folk to avoid commercial instances)

But I'm not sure what sub-domain to use. Feels to me like the federation is the more important bit to emphasise, BICBW.

What does you think?
