Помните «Шарарам»? Я перенёс его с Flash на Ruffle, и он перестал лагать
«Шарарам» – это старая, но до сих пор живая MMORPG по «Смешарикам». Огромный срез моего поколения, родившегося в нулевых, нашёл там первых друзей и приобрёл первые социальные навыки. Я до сих пор, в свои 23 года, возвращаюсь туда раз в один-два месяца: пообщаться с ровесниками и повспоминать золотые годы игры. Но чем старше я становлюсь, тем сильнее желание «просто поиграть» превращается в желание помочь родному проекту. Отчасти это даже страх за него: все аналоги и конкуренты, включая западных вдохновителей, давно умерли, из чего очевидно, что и в Шарараме экономического смысла осталось немного. Думаю, создатели поддерживают его примерно из тех же чувств, что теплятся у меня. Это желание вылилось в эксперимент, после которого Шарарам почти перестал лагать. Честно замерить FPS сложно – разброс между локациями огромный, – но разница видна невооружённым глазом: играть комфортно даже там, где раньше было слайд-шоу. А заодно игра снова заработала в современных браузерах! Поиграть можно через альтернативный клиент shararam.sadfun.dev (или его десктопную версию ). Надеюсь, когда-нибудь это попадёт в апстрим, и игра станет приятнее для всех. А ниже будет технический разбор, как я это сделал. И как же?

Registered on FIFA's public Agent Platform, got added to their Entra tenant, and accessed the Streaming Management panel for every live World Cup 2026 match. RTMP ingest URLs, stream keys, all five camera angles. Confirmed live in VLC. An attacker could have replaced live camera feeds on TV worldwide.

I'm getting closer with my nginx-rtmp-Docker-container-on-MacOS project!
I started from scratch on the mac a couple days ago, reinstalled docker with homebrew and then realized that part of my problem was that macOS (and windows) has to run docker in a virtual machine container of its own and *that* can mess with networking.
So I have now figured that out. Colima, the vm that seems most popular on macOS, needs a mac specific option (--network-attached) when starting so that it gets the mac network going. Major Aha! moment.
I also learned more completely how to build my own Docker images.
I've gotten to the point where nginx is definitely running, I know the port is open (via nmap on another device), I know nginx is accepting the stream, but nginx still refuses to publish that stream to Youtube (or at least youtube is not seeing it).
I also can ping apple.com and youtube.com from within the container, so access to the outside world is working.
I
So that's where I'm at.I just figured out how to get into a container and examine the nginx log files now.
At this point I am going to rebuild the container with nginx configured for full debug level logging. Hopefully that provides some more clues on where it is getting stuck.
I give it a 50/50 chance that it is either an nginx configuration/installation problem or another colima virtual machine/networking issue.
I've learned a lot at least and feel better about my overall Docker knowledge!
And I'm documenting on my blog as I go so I'll have a howto produced from this when it finally works!

Spent way too much time on this yesterday figuring out what it takes to stream with #av1 and what I have to do to upgrade my old #rtmp restream system. Gist is that #srs seems to be the way to go.
In the end I'm hitting a wall. The moment I enter a str:// url to #obs it disables the AV1 encoder for streaming falling back to h264.
Says something about not supporting AV1 for "custom profiles". Which I don't get since it is happy with av1 for my custom rtmp:// 🤷
Can someone explain this to me?

I'm not an #RTMP guru but I see why one may prefer a plain payload as it's passed on straight to the viewers. However the Stream Key is plaintext too and reused between streams.
Especially with OBS logged into Twitch, no idea why this isn't at least mitigated by invalidating the Stream Key immediately once the stream runs. 🤷♀️
