I’m at it again.
I’ve got this new ‘Eureka E20 Plus’ vacuum robot hooked to my PC. Installing #Valetudo on it.

My project for this weekend is almost finished! I was able to successfully flash #Valetudo onto my 7 year old Roborock S6 vacuum robot. The task was not trivial, since it required a serial connection via the UART ports on the mainboard. That meant, I had to disassemble nearly the whole thing and solder 2 pins which I then connected via a serial connection via TTL/Minicom.

@noodlemaz I feel you! ... But I had one single "This should be the internet in my life" moment recently. When I used my VPN to connect over my notebook on my cloud-exozism-performed vacuum bot using SSH in order to perfom a system update. This morment was pretty impressing ;) and all thanks to #valetudo project

GStreamer can now also run on your robot vacuum!
After my dustsrc talk during the last GStreamer Conference ( https://indico.freedesktop.org/event/11/contributions/516/ ), the wonderful @Hypfer took it, fixed a couple of bugs, managed to build it into a single executable, turned it into an actual product, and integrated it into Valetudo: https://github.com/Hypfer/Valetudo/releases#release-2026.08.0
So, right now, Valetudo can display an mpeg-1-in-mpegTS video stream that comes from your robot vacuum. I'm impressed by the pure-JavaScript demuxing and decoding library, but also by the old CRT look and agingTV-esque effects to indicate signal quality.

Trying to sign up for Telegram to ask for help with #Valetudo (dustbuilder doesn't accept my serial num, no other diagnostics)…
…installed Telegram on Waydroid, gave them my phone number, verified my email.. and now they asked me to pay 1€ to get a SMS. I did, the app got stuck, and after restarting the app the SMS code is now invalid. Now I'm stuck waiting to see if they let me request another SMS. How does anyone use this?
