Since some religions hinge on omniscient being existing, this sentence shows the fallacy involved in those religions.

I'm a #theist for #AtheistRights
Take out #religion , and mentions of "God" from the currency.
An #Atheist is an adult who can make up their own mind.
They don't need your ego's reduced image of God thrust upon them by government.
This is not a childish capture-the-flag game to play with the people's currency.
In a Democracy we let others do their thing, not kowtow to our godfather.
Believe what you like. Don't impose it on others.
God does not need you to take out a commercial.

@tomcapuder this post made me think I time traveled back to #reddit circa 2012.

This is silly, none of the major #religious institutions support extremist groups. The world is not black and white and you cannot make grandious sleeping statements like that without substantial evidence. All of those groups have ahistorical views that cherry pick what they like from their myth and history and ignore the rest.

Also, i don't know any #theist who says we should respect and allow every religious belief, this is a #strawman.

If you're looking to actually find religious folk to debate with zero of them use #theist but if this is just being provocative for the sake of it, right, can't stop you but... I dunno, you ever wonder why that's so much of what atheists do? You can only say 'not enough evidence for god' so many ways. The secular worldview is way more interesting than that, right? There's gotta be more to us than shock rock.

I was raised to be #theist. Common progressive science-oriented culture is embarrassed to even mention God except as an example of irrational thought. I haven't yet seen Their existence discussed in a humanistic context, but I am certain the conservative religious right has no monopoly on metaphysics. Just for funsies, let's anonymously represent. Are you…? (Feel free to elaborate.)

I dare any #theist reading this to provide just *one* piece of credible, verifiable, falsifiable #evidence for a #god or anything else we'd call #supernatural.

I am, and have always been (or at least from the time I can remember) an #atheist. I informed my mother when I was about 6 years old that I didn't believe in god (she responded "That's nice, but you still need to get ready for mass"). My 11 year old on the other hand seems to have been almost born a #theist. From the time we met him at age 4, he has been fascinated by religion and spirituality. His only real exposure to religion is Judaism at our local JCC. (1/3)
