2/2 I used to be so religious & used god-language alot! 10 yrs ago my faith collapsed like a bombed edifice. I got into Quakers, who’ve christian roots, but many don’t use god-language to express how they see the world. They seek meaning & purpose by sitting in silence! They’re free-thinking, have a long tradition of challenging accepted norms, helping the disadvantaged, working for peace & to change society.

TIL the term "nontheist" which was mentioned in an article about the latest FFRF lawsuit against NJ for requiring candidates for office to sweat a religious oath.

Apparently... "Nontheism has generally been used to describe apathy or silence towards the subject of gods and differs from atheism, or active disbelief in any gods."
