  1. This is from 2019. I wonder how "noted" "intellectual" and "skeptic" Michael Shermer feels about the US government's actions in many cities in 2026. Not enough to go look, though.

    I think he's typically been a Libertarian voter, which is what I assume he is referencing as "True liberalism"

    Though, I'm not sure which "both" he's referring to. his writing being unreadable isn't a big surprise.

  3. A lot of people are not surprised by the #Dawkins stuff, he has a long history of dismissing, excusing and dehumanizing women, minorities, lgbtq, etc. But what I don't see is many people applying the lessons learned from the Dawkins #skeptic community to the modern inheritors.

    Recently seeing posts by people like Cory #Doctorow as an obvious example demonstrates the same dismissiveness of other voices, excuses for his own choices and lack of inclusion but few are recognizing the pattern.
