#Missouri has a #QuizBowl national champion for the first time since 2014! #FairGrove overwhelmed competition from Kentucky, Illinois and Connecticut in their last five matches to win the #NAQT Small School National Championship Tournament (#SSNCT) Public School Division.

Their only loss came to another Missouri school, Houston… the same Houston they 'll have to play this weekend in Columbia at the #MSHSAA Class Four State Tournament.

A pair of #Ozark counties are celebrating multiple #QuizBowl teams going to state. Hickory County's #Skyline and #Weaubleau achieved their first-ever berth to the state tournament, while Greene County's #Kickapoo and #FairGrove are making return trips.

#QuizBowl teams from #SchuylerCounty, Mexico and #RockBridge dropped their first games, but were able to regroup and take care of business in the remaining two matches to punch their tickets to state. Amongst the larger schools in Northeast Missouri, Mexico continues to display #QuizBowl dominance with their Class Five victory, while a second string of consecutive district titles came to end Saturday at #Hallsville. The latter was part of a good deal of heartbreak for area teams in Class Four, as the region is already confirmed to have no presence in this class' state finals next month.
