  33. Brand Growth Lab Helps Entrepreneurs Turn Offer Confusion Into Clarity

Raleigh entrepreneurs and small business owners looking to sharpen their messaging can join the upcoming Brand Growth Lab: Offer Clarity vs. Offer Confusion, a free virtual workshop focused on helping customers better understand—and buy—what a business offers.

The online session will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 6 to 7 p.m. Eastern Time. The workshop is part of The Wright Village Virtual Learning Series and is organized by Mel Wright.

    Why Offer Clarity Matters

If prospective customers regularly ask what a business does, its offer may not be as clear as the owner believes.

A confusing offer can make it harder for potential customers to recognize the value of a product or service. Even a strong business may lose leads when its marketing uses vague language, tries to communicate too many ideas or fails to explain the specific problem it solves.

A clear offer helps customers quickly understand:

    • What the business provides
    • Who the product or service is designed for
    • What problem it solves
    • Why the customer should choose it
    • What action the customer should take next

During the Brand Growth Lab workshop, participants will examine how they currently present their products and services, identify areas that may create confusion and learn how to communicate their value more effectively.

    What Participants Will Learn

The one-hour workshop will explore several essential elements of business and brand messaging, including:

    • The difference between a clear offer and a confusing offer
    • Why customers struggle to understand certain businesses
    • How entrepreneurs can communicate value more effectively
    • Common mistakes in offer positioning
    • Practical ways to create greater clarity in marketing

The session may be especially helpful for entrepreneurs who have a valuable product or service but struggle to explain it in a short, compelling way.

    Meet the Workshop Facilitator

The workshop will be led by Tab Wolod, founder of IEI Agency and a branding and go-to-market strategist.

Wolod has more than a decade of experience helping mission-driven founders transform their ideas into clear brands that support stronger offers, content strategies and revenue opportunities.

    About Brand Growth Lab

Brand Growth Lab is a free online learning series hosted by The Wright Village. The series is designed to help entrepreneurs strengthen their brands, improve their marketing and grow their businesses with greater confidence.

Each session examines a different aspect of branding or go-to-market strategy and provides practical guidance that business owners can apply to their own marketing.

Because this workshop is offered virtually, entrepreneurs throughout Raleigh, Wake County and the Triangle can participate from home or the office.

  34. Why Startups Should Think Branding First

When it comes to investing in brand, startup businesses find themselves in a huge Catch-22 situation. Many startups understand that a powerful brand will be crucial to their long-term success. Especially when entering busy marketplaces, a clear brand proposition, well-executed, is essential to helping customers understand what the startup is bringing that is new, disruptive, and attractive, in a way that intuitively hits all the right notes. But to get off the ground, and even get into that […]
