Το Άργος και το Ναύπλιο έχουν μια αιώνια έχθρα μεταξύ τους (τύπου Αθήνα Πειραιάς), αλλά δεν είναι ιδιαίτερα φανερή και δεν το αισθάνεται ο επισκέπτης. Είναι γνωστή μόνο στους ντόπιους, παρόλο που εν τέλει όλοι στο Ναύπλιο καταλήγουμε γιατί δυστυχώς έχει τα πάντα λόγω πρωτεύουσας Αργολίδας, κι ας είμαστε μεγαλύτεροι σε πληθυσμό 😁.
Το Άργος θα μπορούσε να έχει καλύτερη τύχη με ανάπτυξη και τουρισμό εάν είχε καλύτερη ρυμοτομία. Από εποχής Καποδίστρια υπήρχε ένα τέτοιο σχέδιο προτεινόμενο, αλλά δυστυχώς οι ντόπιοι δεν το επέτρεψαν ποτέ για να μην χαλάσουν οι περιουσίες τους. Δεν βλέπανε μπροστά, πόσο θα εξυπηρετούσε και τους ίδιους.
Και τώρα το Ναύπλιο δίκαια τραβάει όλα τα βλέμματα και το χρήμα, άλλο το ότι και οι ίδιοι κάνουν αρκετές χαζομάρες. Και φτιάχνουν και την μαρίνα τώρα, που την σχεδίαζαν σχεδόν είκοσι χρόνια. -

The glass lizard looks like a big snake as it is meter long and legless, but it doesn't have the same fluidity - not surprising, as it has bone plates under its skin. I surprised one this week, and it faced us steadfastly. When I picked up my dog, it looped away moving swiftly but entirely unlike a snake, like a section of barely flexible plastic pipe come to life.
Today I saw the secretive sand boa living next to our melon patch. It's head was out of its burrow, but was completely covered in loose earth. There was only a glimpse of gleaming scales, and a tongue flicking out of the dirt. Then it got spooked, and calmly withdrew.

Once upon a time there used to be an extensive network of narrow-gauge lines in #Greece’s south 🇬🇷. The voyage usually started (and ended) in #Athens at the #Peloponnese station.
