Some encouraging #USpol news from the #social scene in #Tennessee. I was talking to a friend raised in the birthplace of the #KuKluxKlan. His father was among the first to land on Omaha Beach in #Normandy during #WorldWar2.
When personally asked by a #Republican politician for a donation to a recent campaign (implying he had been a generous supporter in the past), my friend’s response was as vitriolic as mine would’ve been. To my surprise, he said “I’d vote for #BarackObama over #DonaldTrump.”
