  1. CW: The fate of MAGA rests with good journalism exposing their lies and hypocrisy

    nytimes.com/2026/09/09/opinion

Here's where the NY Times is simply wrong about their timing and their overall message. Most of this country isn't even looking back right now.

Everybody who lives in America is well aware that politics is humdrum. American politics is just a bunch of boring procedural stuff. However, a lot of our politics and their scattered frameworks are necessary because it evenly meshes with America's existing system of laws. Congress's people pass laws so that we can function in an ordinary society and have our rules and order.

This is entirely lost on #MAGA. In their world, it is just "every man for himself" and they are also the "damn the torpedoes" type of crowd. MAGA loathes everyone around them except for their closest friends and conservative neighbors.

MAGA feels that the international world order has turned against their collective wills and reasoning: therefore they now have their absolutely bizarre and untoward QAnon movement which sort of supplanted MAGA's politics in recent years(?) I think few people follow this particular development. I am only recollecting what I read online prior just a few years ago.

49.8% of America voted for the orange bastard in 2024. This is the large orange whale in the room that the NY Times is trying to look past for answers. Most of the MAGA people who voted for their village idiot are half nuts. These followers will either idolize or somehow fetishize Ronald Reagan; they will extol his virtues... until no further points can made.

The NY Times does not see this development in this particular way... and that's entirely on them. The Times is out of step with our own times.

Also, our state's individual election races are being tossed up over gerrymandering and dubious procedures. The Supreme Court will do its best to adjust the states' elections so that a Republican keeps winning the White House.

I mean... Why wouldn't they try to do a Florida 2000 all over again over just a single flaw with any state's voting procedure(s)? For all of us who are generally much too aware of the sort of bad situation that's now going on, we already know full well that Trump's people may opt for trying this right when people least expect it to happen. This dovetails well with Trump's own brand of dirty, "gotcha" politics where just about everything goes.

The trump admin using the high court to intercede in national elections would not be beyond either Stephen Miller or even President Trump himself. It's not like any of them take responsibility for anything they do now, anyways.

The #GOP are often known for using a style of backroom cheating if vote numbers are not favoring their candidate. President "W" did this through having his loyalists connect with Florida's SoS #KatherineHarris during 2000 and then SCOTUS intervened to cement W's legacy as a total loser.

President #Trump is more than likely just itching to do this in the 2026 mid-terms. To all of you techies on #mastodon who do not pay any attention at all to politics — Yes, President Trump is the one who is always spoiling for a fight. Donald J. Trump is basically just a television repeat of segregationist and former Governor #GeorgeWallace from Alabama.

I say that we should believe Trump when he tells this nation just what kind of person he really is... a total narcissist and a political thwart (or just an old turncoat — I bet some of you mastodon users did not know that Donald Trump was once a registered Democrat for a short while).

It's really that recurring bad level in the video game which America keeps playing by itself — just for fun. We are repeating that same level OVER and OVER and OVER. It is right at this one rung where all of our leaders have no solutions and cannot ever be held to account. This one level appears to not ever end or close. There is no pause button in this video game. There are no do-overs in this video game.

Trump is an almost undefeatable boss in the last level of this rather unpleasant video game. Trump's minions on the Supreme Court removed most of this nation's safeguards to ensure that we do not have a tyrant serving as president.

Today — no current nor future sitting US president can ever be prosecuted for the crimes that they commit while they're in office. No really: it is literally that type of "no matter what" situation that applies to just about anything that's going on within the executive branch, right now. They are all criminally immune. Would anybody in the US media now care to ask why this is such a bad precedent? No? Then, fvck you all the way to hell, NY Times.

That's what the right-wing high court did to us by using legal means because in retrospect they all greatly despise President JFK and President Carter so much for the wrong reasons.

Unbelievable! Those six Supreme Court henchmen (and one woman) sold their theory of the "unimpeachable president" or unitary executive branch as a lemon to the American public. They didn't even look back one time or revisit this on procedural grounds. All of them are cowards.
