The movie followed the character Andy Barclay again, only this time he was portrayed as a troubled teenager who enters a military school. Unsurprisingly, the evil Chucky was revived and pursued Andy once more. Having seen Child’s Play and Child’s Play 3 on home video just months apart from each other, the viewing experience was unique given each film’s differences in terms of casts and settings. When Child’s Play 3 came to an end, there was this feeling among many moviegoers that the film series concluded solidly. Back then, I was completely unaware about the controversy regarding past Lone Ranger actor Clayton Moore who was legally barred from appearing in public wearing the trademark black mask. That controversy alone hounded the movie and was arguably the single biggest factor behind its failure. I myself read several reprints of EC Comics – including Tales From The Crypt – and saw some episodes of the TV series. That said, both the TV series and the comic books delivered a very unique kind of entertainment that is sadly missing today. #9 The Unification Church Exposed – When former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was assassinated in 2022, the killer Tetsuya Yamagami committed the act not because of politics but because of the perceived connections the politician had with the controversial Unification Church which he blames for financial ruining his family and his own life. What has made me reject LP has been her stealing Shakespeare quotes as if they were her ideas. And the borrowing/buying of the poetry.

The first few books were nice, but fell into discord. It finalized with the horrific novel written with Hilary Clinton. I would be embarassed to be associated with that book.

I like it best when all sides of a politician are acknowledged, and recognition is given to how hard a job they have. It takes a particular kind of person to take it on - we need their ambition and drive to run things, but such people are rarely faultless. I'd rather see her as President than the orange twit, that's for sure.

Context: Extracted from author's letter to a friend who is a professor. . .

"Lets be honest- Clinton doesn’t give a shit about me. When Clinton talks about people hurt by the economy, she means you: elite-educated white-collar people with obvious career tracks who are having trouble with their bills and their 401k plans. That’s who boomed under the last president Clinton, especially the 401ks. Me, or the three guys fighting two nights ago over the Township mowing contract, we’re nothing. Clinton doesn’t have an economic plan for us. Nobody has an economic plan for us. There is no economic plan for us, ever. We keep driving trucks around and keep the margins above gas money and maybe take an odd job here or there, but essentially, we’re history and nobody seems to mind saying so.

"And let me be honest again- Trump doesn’t have an economic plan for me either. What Trump’s boys have for me is a noose- but that’s the choice I’m facing, a lifetime of grueling poverty, or apocalypse. Yeah I know, not fun and games- the shouts, the smashing glass, the headlights on the lawn, but what am I supposed to do, raise my kid to stay one step ahead of the inspectors and don’t, for the love of god, don’t ever miss a payment on your speeding ticket? A noose is something I know how to fight. A hole in the frame of my car is not. A lifetime of feeling that sense, that “ohhhh, shiiiiiit…” of recognition that another year will go by without any major change in the way of things, little misfortunes upon misfortunes… a lifetime of paying a grand a month to the same financial industry busily padding the 401k plans of cyclists in spandex, who declare a new era of prosperity in America? Who can find clarity, a sense of self, any kind of redemption in that world?

"Fuck it. Give me the fascists, I’ll know where I stand…

"But I went ahead and took a democratic ballot regardless. And voted for Sanders. And as long as chumps like me keep doing that, we’ll keep getting the Clintons we deserve."

I get the point of the caption in the quote, yet I see this differently, because I consider first and foremost what fellow leftists could have done differently, rather than waiting on the fash to change.

I think about all the dogmatically puritanical ideologues on the left who considered each of these two establishment liberal leaders and, rather than thinking "Imagine how much farther we could push public policy leftwards if we organize our civic action campaigns with her positions as our starting point," instead insisted, "Despite all the ways in which she's better than that corrupt, racist, sex-abusing malignant narcissist, and the fact that there is not a single way in which he and she differs where he isn't worse, let's stamp our feet and stand on vainglorious petulance and concede the election to the lost-cause bigots and let them elect their way towards reviving the Confederacy."

By the time of either election, the left already had the numbers to swamp the electoral power of the right. What they lacked was the will to sacrifice their social media clout, accept reality, vote in overwhelming numbers for the candidate who was objectively the better candidate in every way she differed from Donald, then campaign for progress rather than being forced to campaign against regression.

What they lacked was the maturity to unconditionally vote pragmatically in the general election, and to save their idealism for the next primary. What they lacked was the humility to accept that the pragmatic leftists telling them their resentment-based rhetoric and nuance-devoid single-issue binary absolutism would backfire were right: that by failing to vote, unconditionally, for the best candidate whom there was any possibility of electing, despite the flaws of that candidate, they guaranteed that everything they criticized that flawed candidate for would get much worse under the regime of her opponent, who was far more flawed in all the same ways and in many more.

Leftists changing how the Trump base would vote would've taken tens of millions of us training for months to speak and act like Deeyah Khan or Daryl Davis, and then working for years to build relationships and change minds. Leftist ideologues changing how they themselves would vote would've taken nothing but swallowing their petty pride and choosing the battle they could win, then fighting the next battle only after gaining the prerequisite ground.
