The #39C3 talk "Agentic ProbLLMs" was great and disturbing. I strongly recommend it to watch it later on media.ccc.de.

Several exploits using agentic AIs (e.g. #Copilot, #Claude Code, #Jules, #Devin, …) were demonstrated, allowing to pwn your computer. In some cases without user interaction.

The highlight was a proof-of-concept virus that attacks git that replicates whenever a developer uses "analyze code with #AI". 🤡

Всем привет! Если вы как и я задавались вопросом "а что там у гуглов", когда находили какую-то новую крутую софтину, смело полагая что если уж есть такое чудо, то у гуглов должно быть что-то еще лучше - то у нас с вами много общего. И вот сегодня, вместо того чтобы продолжать вайбкодить в клоде, я вдруг вспомнил, что пару месяцев назад слышал что-то про Jules . Тогда меня это не заинтересовало, но недавно где-то еще в комментариях всплыло и я понял что пришло время смотреть агента от гугл.

As a non-programmer/coder, i played around with https://jules.google.com/ , connected it with my github account, let it write some simple code for me, it worked the first time, improved it a bit etc. Actually good to experience in practice this "vibe coding" and Jules is very friendly. I even used the (free) Google API for Gemini, runned the code in Colab etc. No endorsement/advice whatsoever, please ask real coders for that 🙂. But i understand the hype better now.

Что это значит (пример): Часто бывает проблема, что кол-во модулей в проекте или библиотек которые хотелось бы сделать, превышает кол-во которое можно поддерживать. Особенно если ведешь open source библиотеку. Background агенты позволяют взять часть работы - нашел полезными для документации, легкого рефакторинг и имплементирования небольших фич. Чтобы начать, обычно можно использовать небольшой промпт чтобы предсоздать план по которому Jules будет частично следовать (на самом деле она пересоздаст план, но имея рефренсы ей будет проще):

Man they went way to hard on the #AI sauce with #Copilot and Google #Jules. I can get functional code out of Gemini, I can’t get useful stuff out of these “Agentic” systems. They just do too much without any human oversight. Not just off track, but suddenly on a brand new side quest adventure regardless of specification precision.
