  2. In personal news, for anyone who remembers I started intermittent fasting and wanted to gnaw my arm off...

    After a month I'm at 16:8 and it is, indeed much easier (although that last hour is always a bitch.)

    I still have both arms, so go me!

    Plus, it seems to have resolved some digestive issues I've had for years. I no longer use Omeprazole daily.

  3. Back to the grind today; started W1D1 of Bullmastiff with easy 4x6+x100 kg (220 lb) DLs; got 12 on the last set @ RPE 7 as my hamstrings are fried from last week. #strengthtraining

    Then went straight to #bjj which I started ~6 weeks ago and am _really_ enjoying, and it is in fact not full of Joe Rogan fanboys.

    Broke fast at 17h45m; back on the #ketosis wagon. Generally feeling pretty upbeat and looking forward to see the progress over the next 18 weeks. Now to work. 😭

  5. I ate pizza yesterday, and it was amazing. I wasn’t planning on continuing with #intermittentfasting today, but it just kinda happened. So back on keto and IF wagon already; I’m feeling good and am looking forward to more progress.

    Tomorrow I’m starting Alex Bromley’s Bullmastiff program, which has a lot to recommend it (and a lot of volume). Runs for a good 18 weeks, so plenty of time to make progress.

  6. Today is the hundredth day of 2026, and I’ve not had any alcohol this year and lost 8.5 kg (19 lbs) in the process.

    #strengthtraining is going well, I’ve done 100 consecutive 16+ hour fasts (all 17+ since February), and stuck to a low carb (if frequently not keto) diet.

    As misfortune would have it, I slept very poorly last night and feel rotten today, but I’m very happy with how things are going. I’m ~10 kg from maintenance, but a big chunk of progress has been made.

  10. I’ve been doing 16:8 #intermittentfasting again since the start of the year, which I find comes very naturally, but I realised at the start of the week that eating an evening meal with young children means I can still fit three meals + snacks into a day, and sticking to #keto is harder.

    On days when I work out I invariably do 17+ hour fasts, and this week I decided to make it official. 7 hours is just short enough that two meals suffices, and keto is easier. Today I did 18:35 almost by mistake.

  12. Penne for dinner: i call it “3s penne”’because i used sesame, soy sauce, shiitake 😋

    Had leftover plain penne from yesterday so for my dinner tonight, I:
    1. added red & green onion to the pan after sautéing the shiitake 🍄 in dark soy sauce, Himalayan salt, pepper, garlic powder, lemon juice
    2. mixed Italian EVOO on pasta before plating (never cook olive oil)
    3. sprinkled black & white toasted sesame seeds on top
