If you boot BashCore right after Windows and your Wi-Fi isn’t detected in nmtui, don’t panic, it’s not a driver bug.
Windows leaves the wireless card in a half-awake state due to Fast Boot.
Fix: disable Fast Boot in Windows settings → “Choose what the power buttons do”.
After that, Wi-Fi works instantly 👊🏻

Cleaning up a part of my bookcase and I found my old Oneplus8: bricked, yes, but hopefully I can revive it, because visually it's still a better looking phone than my Pixel9.

My Pixel Watch 2 started randomly dying and eventually got stuck on a Fastboot screen. Factory resets didn’t help, and Google Support shrugged it off (out of warranty, of course). Determined to fix it myself, I downloaded Google’s official OS image, used ADB via the charger cable, and successfully flashed the watch back to life.

Cioè ho dovuto mettere una macchina virtuale per fare un fottuto ripristino di un cellulare (che ora sta andando chissà quanto ci metterà e se andrà a buon fine🤞 ) perché #Xiaomi ovviamente se ne fotte di fare un SW che giri su #Linux, quando poi il #fastboot e tutto quello che gira sotto il cofano è ESATTAMENTE Linux

"Max packet size must be 64 bytes for full-speed, 512 bytes for high-speed and 1024 bytes for Super Speed USB"
And:
"Host sends a command, which is an ascii string in a single packet no greater than 4096 bytes."
And then:

I have a full speed device responding with 65 bytes.
Where does this "max packet size" ever apply?
Gotta read the C sources, I suppose...

Flashing the latest #weekly to my today recieved #oneplus6t of #mobian results in a black screen at bootup. Tried the workaround with #abootimg but still just a black screen.
The #mobian 12 image (not weekly) at least boots, but can not be upgraded since afterwards the phone is cursed with a #bootloop to #fastbootAnyone any ideas?

Today I learned that to get into the BIOS or boot menu on a Windows machine one has to deactivate fast boot in the Windows Control Panel's Power Options' "Choose what the power buttons do" then having activated "Change settings that are currently unavailable" to deactivate "Turn on fast startup (recommended)".
I didn't boot a Windows machine for 12 years.. just to wipe it :mastolol:

Good morning all!
I'm desperate and in need of assistance.
My wife's Pixel 5a has decided that the screen isn't going to display anything, and likely isn't responding to touch.
I can get the device into fastboot and it's accessible through that command prompt, but I can't figure out how to mount via usb. I need to get photos and such off this device.
I cannot get the device while booted normally to mount as a USB drive on my computer.
Is there a way that I can't seem to find through searches that can get me access to the data partition?
