Idag är en stor dag. Satte upp Readeck och Miniflux på nytt. Jag hade båda för något år sedan, men sen dog min kubernetes setup och allt försvann. Nu kör de i podman på en pet server tills jag orkar ta itu med min kubernetes setup på nytt.

Lyckades även få igång readeckobo som exponerar ett Instapaper API för Readeck så att Kobo kan läsa från den. 😍

Nu börjar livet!

Using #rss to get my daily dose of information from accounts and websites is just great. I use #miniflux
every morning to get all updates and read through. Works very well, is hosted in my #homelab, provides a calm environment (no notifications, popups, pre-sorted stuff), can scrape content and replaced endless scrolling, clicking and looking for topics that really interest me. I update it with more feeds whenever I come across an interesting one.

Awesome to have full control about content and infrastructure.

@ithoughtisawa2 I tend to select software to self-host based on it they support OIDC/OAUTH. That might limit me a bit but it is surprising how many great services that do support it.

Also, #authelia has pretty good logging which is helpful to troubleshoot #OIDC issues.

Dear lazyfedi. I'd really love a feature for Miniflux to automatically sort feeds into bins of how frequently they update on average - something it must already track for POLLING_SCHEDULER = entry_frequency

(or, why are all my most interesting feeds the least frequently updated ones?; or, why aren't I sorting like this manually already, how many bins can there be really?)

Hm, do I want to enable #password logins besides #SSO to my #readeck and #miniflux? It sounds icky, but seems to be the easiest way to access them from my work computer without giving it access to any other of my services 🤔

I've had #KOReader installed on my #Kobo Clara for a while but haven't actually ever read a full book in it, mostly relying on it for the #Miniflux integration. Going to give it an earnest go while I read Mother of Learning: Arc 1 and see if there's anything here to make me prefer it over the stock reader.

Llevaba yo años (años!) tirando de FreshRSS para mis feeds, pero nunca me acabó de convcencer.

La integración con OIDC era regulin, algunos feeds no los cargaba bien... Funcionaba, pero siempre era un poco el patito negro de las apps que tengo en el NAS.

Y hoy voy y encuentro Miniflux (ya, no se como no la había encontrado antes). Tiene todo lo de FreshRSS y más! Conexión perfecta con OIDC, se conecta con millones de servicios externos si quieres, consume nada y menos...

Might switch from feeder to "feedflow", It's cross platform and I am thinking of having miniflux/freshrss sever in the future so hmmmmmmm 🤔

Still wanna keep rss guard and Vivaldi's feeds for desktop though, that's mint.

Meinen Newsfeed-Konsum dahin zu migrieren bleibt weiterhin eine der besseren Ideen die ich hatte. #rss2email war administrativ minimal aufwändiger, aussortieren defekter feeds war Schmerz und die Mail-Clients wollten auch auf jedem OS anders gesteuert werden. Kann man mal ein Jahrzehnt oder zwei machen, aber es geht besser.

...was improving the search in #miniflux really just a matter of changing which postgresql function it uses for search??
