I finally got round to sending my statement and evidence about the accident at work I had in November (fell down an open drain left by a contractor).
Writing it, I realised why I'd put off for so long: the anxiety I've felt about my CRPS returning because of the injury to my foot and leg. I made it abundantly clear that this was the main mental anguish I've been suffering since November. Not to mention the physical pain every time I walk.

From first link:
“Law No. 15.176, of July 23, 2025, establishes the basis for the creation of a national program to protect the rights of people affected by fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, complex regional pain syndrome, and other related diseases.” -
Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) goes along with secondary #hyperparathyroidism. Our group was the first to describe this. The mechanism leading to #sHPT is unclear, but it may contribute to the loss of bone substance in #CRPS.

I'm at my mom's, and it saddens me to see her in much pain from #CIRVA / #CRPS, a chronic condition where the whole arm is getting extremely painful, for years after vaccination. For her it started immediately after getting the flu vaccine and later the covid one on the same arm (her other arm had no problem). I feel guilty that I was pushing her to get the covid vaccine back then. Her condition is very rare, but it does happen occasionally.

Ever feel like the world is conspiring against you?
Phone call from the (very good) NHS pain clinic secretary to let me know that I can't have any more ketamine infusions until the issue with my heart is sorted out as it's a contraindication. I was due the next in three weeks as I have them every month.OK. But.
The echocardiogram I was meant to have privately was cancelled by the referring anaesthetist because my arm surgery is in the process of being transferred to the NHS - under the same surgical team. If the pre-surgery assessment ECG shows up anything amiss they will do the echo then.
I have no date for the surgery, hence no date for a pore-surgical assessment, hence no Ketamine infusions for, quite possibly, many months.
Oh well, it's only excruciating chronic pain - nothing to see here. When it's decided if/if not my heart really is an issue and my pain consultant (if not) can do the infusions again, it will take at least 4-6 weeks to arrange, pushing it even further into the foggy future.
Is it too early to start drinking?

im a little worried. the other day i had an unusually intense pain. when i came to, i could not hear in my left ear and my right sounded like i was underwater.
it took about a day and a half for everything to get back to normal.
i cant get an appointment with my neuro until november. has anything like this happened to you? if you dont want to reply, dm.

when i come out of the other side of #crps, i will remember to ignore all the people who have ignored me.

i have often tried to convey how much i hurt, every day. i have #crps. i woke up from a surgery on a foot i had broken 15 years before to searing pain i though was normal.
i was told to be successful i had to walk on my foot, so i did.
i often try to convey to people my foot often hurts so bad it feels like i was just kneed in the balls.
me, unrecovered, from being kneed in the balls in 2004.

Wow, this is seriously good news for people with Chronic Pain like CRPS (which I had and am in "remission" from) and other autoimmune diseases. I hope it allows people to finally find peace.

People with #ChronicPain that gets flared by hot weather, what methods have you found to cope, other than the obvious ones like cold showers, ice packs and freeze sprays?
Have a week long 30C+ stretch and want to find ways to get through it with less pain.
