  1. I think pre-emptive dosing myself with co-codamol before the arthritis hits my fingers is working. I've only had to use the splints for relief once this week so far.
The GP has increased the co-codamol strength so hopefully even that'll improve.

  6. I've had three extremely useful conversations with two different pharmacists today.

The Omeprazole I was prescribed after my last gastroscopy is causing severe pains in my arthritic fingers (despite the hospital consultant saying it wouldn't). Pharmacist has confirmed it's a rare, but documented, side effect of •all• PPIs.

The pharmacist at the GP surgery has arranged for me to get an 8 week prescription of Famotdine instead, and to review it when I'm back from holiday.

  11. While my arthritis has eased off significantly since I stopped taking the Lanzaprazole, I'm still getting pain in my thumbs particularly in the evenings.
So I'm back to wearing the thumb splint which helps a lot.
At least the knee & hip pains have gone.

I had quite bad back pain in the night which I think might be the pain that Lansaprazole was given in the first place.

I'd rather have the stomach and back pain than the arthritis pains.

I've got a phone consultation with the GP surgery but it's in about 10 days time.

The work on the DC - quite descriptive - is published. Find it here: mastodon.social/@tinyspheresof

The T cell work has not been published. I think I have a mostly complete manuscript that I could put on bioRXv. I'll discuss it with my former PI.
The short version: #IL6 and #TNF were very abundant, and were in the way of Treg-Teff interaction, #Teff not reacting to #Treg suppression anymore. Possibly partly explaining why drugs against these work in #arthritis.

  13. I'm up this morning with a heating pad on my neck and an icepack on my knee. How's your morning going? lol

When I went on my walk yesterday, I wore my wrong cleats. I have three sizes of cleat - Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear.

I wore the Mamas when I should have worn the Papas.

I didn't actually fall, but slipped enough to jack my body up. Ugh. Arthritis sucks regardless, but man!

  14. Waiting for the #edible to hit. today has been extra painful.

oh, I guess I’ve never explained this before. I have #arthritis in my left knee and I’m pretty sure it’s starting to develop in my right as well. I use #cannabis instead of #opiates as a way to manage my #pain.

    I am essentially, a functioning #stoner.
