Polska groza na ekranach Apple. Cronos: The New Dawn debiutuje na komputerach Mac
Bloober Team, krakowskie studio odpowiedzialne m.in. za głośny remake Silent Hill 2, kontynuuje ofensywę na platformie Apple.
Ich najnowszy survival horror, Cronos: The New Dawn, jest od dziś dostępny dla użytkowników komputerów Mac. To ważna premiera dla fanów gatunku, zwłaszcza że produkcja zebrała bardzo pozytywne recenzje, w tym na łamach iMagazine.
O tytule tym wspominaliśmy już w wydaniu iMagazine 10/2025, w którym Paweł Hać chwalił grę za unikalny klimat i wysoką jakość wykonania. Cronos: The New Dawn to pierwsza w pełni autorska produkcja Bloober Team w gatunku survival horroru.
Akcja gry przenosi nas pomiędzy dwa światy: zniszczoną, postapokaliptyczną przyszłość oraz Polskę lat 80. Rzeczywistość ukształtowana przez brutalistyczną architekturę tworzy gęstą, niepokojącą atmosferę, w której gracze – jako Podróżniczka – muszą walczyć o przetrwanie i rozwiązywać zagadki przeszłości.
Technologia Metal w służbie horroru
Przeniesienie tak zaawansowanej graficznie produkcji na system macOS było możliwe dzięki pełnemu wykorzystaniu silnika Unreal Engine 5. Gra wspiera najnowsze rozwiązania technologiczne Apple, w tym API Metal.
Dla posiadaczy komputerów z procesorami Apple Silicon kluczową informacją jest wsparcie dla:
- MetalFX Upscaling: technologia pozwalająca na zachowanie wysokiej liczby klatek na sekundę przy zachowaniu dużej szczegółowości obrazu.
- Lumen oraz Nanite: systemy oświetlenia i renderowania geometrii, które odpowiadają za imponującą oprawę wizualną i realistyczne cieniowanie, tak istotne w gatunku horroru.
Nowy tryb i premierowe zniżki
Wraz z premierą na Macu, Bloober Team wprowadził do gry tzw. „Temporal Diver Mode” (tryb łatwy). Został on stworzony dla osób, które chcą skupić się na eksploracji i fabule, ograniczając trudność walki. Tryb ten jest teraz dostępny na wszystkich platformach, dając graczom wybór między trzema poziomami wyzwania.
Z okazji debiutu w ekosystemie Apple, studio przygotowało specjalne zniżki na platformie Steam w ramach kampanii „Strive to Survive”. Edycję standardową można nabyć z 30-procentowym rabatem, natomiast wersja Deluxe została przeceniona o 35%.

Das polnische Entwicklerstudio #BlooberTeam hat die Veröffentlichung seines preisgekrönten #Survival-#Horror-Titels „#CronosTheNewDawn“ für #Apple-Silicon-Macs bekannt gegeben. Das #Spiel soll am 28. April 2026 erscheinen und erstmals eine native Unterstützung für Apples hauseigene Grafiktechnologien bieten. Damit erweitert Bloober Team das bereits breite Plattformspektrum für das Spiel.

Layers of Fear ist ein durchaus gruseliges Horrorspiel, fasziniert aber vor allem durch optische Kreativität und die oft unglaublichen Wendungen in der Spielumgebung. Im Prinzip bin ich zwar hie und da erschrocken, ansonsten aber primär mit offenem Mund staunend durch immer bizarrere Räumlichkeiten gelaufen, von einer Überraschung in die nächste stolpernd. IMHO beste Gruselunterhaltung.
