The people who bike laps around #ProspectPark and #CentralPark are really on to something. Never thought I’d be that person, but I just rode several laps around Prospect Park this evening and it’s lovely. The #Fall smells of leaves and #campfires fill the crisp air. Best of all you can ride continuously without having to deal with a single #car. Kicking myself for not doing this more often.

While out watching a #drag show on the 5th Ave #OpenStreets this past Saturday a man walked up to a group of us to complain about the street being closed. “What if trucks need to get through?!” he said. Imagine seeing a couple hundred people having a great time and all you can think about is the poor trucks?

I try not to let small things bother me too much when I’m biking , but when a #cop intentionally drives over a flex post to illegally park in a pedestrian island it pisses me off. This behavior makes #walking #biking and #driving more dangerous because it blocks sight lines. #SunsetPark #Brooklyn #NYPD

If you’re out there on a bike long enough you’ll learn that everybody on two wheels are NOT allies. #Mopeds and #motorcycles will usually choose to risk your safety if it will reduce their trip by even a few seconds. They aren’t much different than #drivers in that way.

What’s the most #CarBrain thing someone has said to you on or off your #bike ?
I was once at a red light and the #driver of Escalade rolled down his window and said “you need to stay out of the road. You’re taking up too much space!” This happened again with the driver of a lifted #Jeep. I’m the #roadhog apparently.
I’ve had several drivers yell “Get a car!!!” at me, which is still very confusing logic.

NYPD officials said the child was walking with his mother and attempting to cross the street as the tow truck was making a right turn onto North Portland Avenue from Myrtle Avenue.
