Starbucks workers at two #Albuquerque locations are still waiting for corporate ownership to offer a fair contract so the ABQ Westside location decided to speak with their money & labor and the store has been closed for close to 2 days

Why do some parts of Albuquerque look like fall and why should we care?
Like most US TV news, it's a very short segment and while they talk to some experts, it's just for soundbites. It could use a much deeper segment so people really understand what habits to develop.

Our friends at Byrdman Group will be entering the #48HourFilm Festival in #Albuquerque New Mexico. We would love to help them out with an amazing soundtrack.
If you're not familiar, filmmakers have 48 hours to write, shoot, edit, and submit a short film up to 7 minutes. There are elements like character names, props, and dialogue before filming. Awards will be given to "Best Editing," "Best Writing," atc.
Help us give them the "Best Sound Design!" with #music or #soundscape material.

and yes, I have needed to actually ding my bike bell at more than three coyotes on trails -this year- in my local area. many many more crossings/sightings without any need for dinging. Not a big deal, but do stay aware of them if you are out walking small dogs. For whatever reasons (but most likely the heat and the dry river) they definitely seem even less afraid of the hoomans this year than in past years.

Heat and fire risk aside, biking in #albuquerque is spectacular

En route to #albuquerque for our semi-annual visit. The weather forecast is exceedingly hot (near 100° Fahrenheit/37.8° Celsius) for at least the next 10 days. I expect the mornings and evenings will be lovely and pellucid and that midday will be spent huddling indoors. It won’t be humid, at least!

#Albuquerque has unarmed, licensed social worker first-responders.
What color is their line? THAT'S a flag I'd fly.

@Benhm3 Not ignoring #albuquerque but I like the weather in #santafe and the fake adobe is kind of whimsical.

Welcome! And don't ignore #Albuquerque if the prices in Sante Fe prove too high.
Nice folks, slightly warmer, but housing "up slope" is remarkably similar to SF.

I'm so happy I have Mastodon. It keeps a few of my linux skills up to date, gives me a social media option that isn't manipulated by algorithms, and I can complain about the various people/agencies that try their best to keep people from riding bikes safely. I am so disappointed by #albuquerque
I really thought this city and state were on the right track when it came to transportation, but they just go back to what they are comfortable with. Which ultimately means people will die on our roads.

Wow! The #Albuquerque Journal was really on top of things in 1991!
