Ich habe meine beiden Vordersitze ausgetauscht und die übrig gebliebenen Teile formten noch einen kompletten Sitz.
Weg schmeißen war echt zu schade, als haben wir (mein Sohn und ich) kurzerhand einen Gaming Stuhl daraus gebastelt.

Leute, das Teil ist richtig gemütlich. Es kommt jetzt noch ein 12V Netzteil darunter, dann kann der auch verstellt werden.

I needed a photo of my #Jeep for an upcoming blog post about buying my new car. This is the one I found. Red Rock crawling in #Sedona back in 2006. Yes, I’ve owned this 1999 Wrangler since it was brand new.

Ranting to my group chat about my favorite SUVs which were like early to mid 90s models of Jeep Wrangler or Cherokee, Range Rovers, or Ford Broncos. For some reason I adore their boxy shapes.

I am not generally the type to get emotionally attached to a vehicle (the only one I’ve ever named is my #Rivian, and that’s because you actually need to give it a name for the app and all), but I’m pretty sad to have made the appointment to scrap our #Jeep this afternoon. We’ve had it for 12 years and 140,000 miles of drives across the US and Canada. It was an excellent Jack-of-all-trades vehicle, and I’m going to miss it.

This is a neat setup!

Dit weekeinde de #jeep en trailer prepareren voor de vakantie. Helaas ‘n elektra probleempje: de knipperlichten van de trailer doen het niet (de rest allemaal wel). Waarschijnlijk iets met een slecht contact.
Maar ik heb nog ‘n week.
De lier was nog wel ok - voor het geval we ‘m nodig gaan hebben. Nu ook nog ff de Garmin gereedmaken voor de navigatie.

Zo, zomervakantie is nu definitief. Het wordt de Ardennen en de Harz. Met de jeep+trailer.

Niet heel ver weg (binnen 1 dag terug is mogelijk) en niet heel lang, vanwege moeilijke familieomstandigheden thuis. Maar we willen toch wel even op pad.

Day 3 - I have had no update from #Jeep on the #Willys #4xe leak. It's a '24, and it's never seen a trail. I had it for 10 days and took it back to #CarMax. It already had the 68C recall completed. I didn't want to trade it for another. The only thing wrong with it is a transmission coolant line leak. CarMax gave me a loaner while my Willys is getting fixed. Jeep wouldn't do that. All they would tell me is it would take two weeks to fix. Maybe 3 days before they even look at it. #JeepLife

IT'S FINALLY HAPPENED

New video is up. Part 2 of the Dana 60 front swap on the LJ, and this one is all about coilover tower placement.

First time building a 3-link front end, so it was a ton of trial and error. I moved these towers about four times and landed right back where I started. Live and learn.
