Updated #introduction post:
I'm middle-aged, #gay / #queer cis he/him, #bear -ish #fat, a non-corporate #WebDev in California living with my fiancé and cat. Our collection of #BoardGames is ridiculous.
I've been a #TTRPG player for 40(!) years, currently playing online in #TorgEternity and West End Star Wars games. Played D&D for decades but lately I'm less interested in crunchy games and want to try more story and fiction-first games. My active was-local-now-online group was playing #BladesInTheDark and I miss it.
I'm a hobbyist Twitch streamer, video games with ghosts and cooperative horror-comedy are faves. I'd love to try making actual plays of #TTRPGs, having played in a few, but I need to work on making time to make that happen.
I keep an eye out for new #TorgEternity streams, and through one found a pro GM who was going to run a campaign through Startplaying.games. A game ran from an adjacent time zone, even. I reached out to him, got a better sense of the campaign, and signed up as a player.
With three players lined up, we pushed the session zero out a week to see if at least one more player would sign up, then when no one did, the whole thing was cancelled. He had a great reason, basically boiling down to needing his pro-GM-as-second-job games to make money to help his family out, and some TTRPGs he runs have more of a draw than others.
I'm not upset with the game folding, but I am a bit saddened that one of my favorite weird games doesn't have much of a player base. The publisher, based in Germany, has done little to get the game into game stores here in the US--I found one copy of the core rulebook in 2018 in a Friendly Local Gaming Store, and haven't found anything elsewhere except for one store in Atlanta when visiting. They also do zero advertising or promotion through interviews. None of the staff are full-timers either, so it's kind of a miracle this game even exists. The English-speaking online community feels like it's primarily older cishet white guy grognards who remember the first version from the 90s, which--nothing wrong with that but I'd love a more diverse community there. (And more folks in my time zone.)
First RPG bought this year: I think the Torg Eternity PanPacifica Kickstarter? Probably? I dunno, January was a while ago.
I had a table of #torgeternity noobs who took to the game like ducks to water. My favorite comment, “Hey this plays just like Savage Worlds!” #thiskidgetsit Demon Bunker will be run one more time @Cangames on Sunday, last slot. #seeyouthen
Sorry for not tooting for a while. My first run #torgeternity game @Cangames was a pretty fun time. I took the 5 room dungeon approach to the scenario, and it seemed to be well appreciated and timed.

@sydneybrokeit If you were a RIFTS fan, you might become a #TORG / #TORGeternity fan. TORG is going to be under the ORC license as well, like all #UlissesSpiele games, including SciFantasy #FlashingBlades and their fantasy flagship #TheDarkEye @rwhe @Chaosium @ttrpg
Been a while tooters. I’m writing an adventure for a local gaming convention in May (CanGames, Canada’s oldest convention). Not going to lie it’s hard to write, but dang it, #torgeternity is worth it.
@factolvictor Everything related? Have you checked out the Cyberpapacy and gthe Kanawa Corporation from Pan Pacifica in the #TORGeternity #ttrpg? You might like it a lot.
Enjoying the first story of our #Orrorsh #TorgEternity game. We've spent most of 2 sessions investigating, getting creeped out by both our own hypotheses and the unknowns we can't fill in yet.
Then we end up in a field full of hungry dead, and our Pan-Pacifica martial artist, trying to telekinetically lift herself up on top of a wall, disconnects from her reality. We scramble to trade cards to help her reconnect, even cycling cards to fish for a Reconnect card that doesn't show up. (1/2)

@ericmpaq oh I know, but it may be a long wait before we can schedule the year 2 campaign for #torgeternity as we’ve still not had the #kickstarter for it. Not saying we’re not going to do more #torgeternity one-shots but hey there’s lots of good one-shots we can choose from.
@GenericGamesNZ @bradjmurray have you tried #TheDarkEye TDE - a game with nearly 40 years on the market (dominant in Germany, translation into French, Dutch, Russian, of course English) and for that game world #Aventuria there is also a massive card game DE/EN, (next EN Kickstarter coming soon) and 200 novels in German waiting to be translated & read? All by #UlissesSpiele the friendly company that brought #TORGeternity and #FadingSuns #ttrpg, own #Space1889 and more (and me during work hours)
Excited for tonight's session zero with my #TorgEternity group! One of my players is stepping up to GM, we're adding a new player, and I finally get to play. 🎉 We have to figure out characters that would volunteer to spend time in an invading reality that's a living horror film, and discuss what kinds of horror stories we like and our lines and veils (or whichever safety tools we're using).
Angebot>Nachfrage
What's wrong with an #introduction weeks after joining Mastodon?
I am a big #Starcraft2 #esports fan located in Ajax Ontario. When not watching SC2 on twitch, i'm usually watching variety Youtube streams, playing games on my #NintendoSwitch, or thinking about playing the #ttrpg #TorgEternity (but never actually playing it)
I'm also a casual #Linux user (it's my home desktop OS, but I don't get into the weeds)
After the two year #torgeternity campaign wraps up in the new year, next up will be a quick #thetroubleshootersrpg scenario. It’s meant to be maybe three sessions or so, and right now I’m prepping for the Minoan Affair.
@TrexPushups I have painted just one mini - but the company I work for, #UlissesSpiele, is selling minis in subscriptions, for #Aventuria and #TheDarkEye and soon #TORGeternity
I love it when I can make my players happy after a game session. Makes all the prep, improv, and sweating over the details worthwhile! #ttrpg #torgeternity
Todays #ttrpg was #torgeternity and it went splendidly today. Still in the last Act of Relics of Power (Redux), the Storm Knights are in The Akashan City floating in the darkness between realities. They explore the darkened Science labs and arrive just in time to find the Nile Empire strike team messing with forces that shouldn’t be messed with!
We finished the “Relics of Power Redux” campaign for #TorgEternity the other night! I was worried about how the last Act would go, but everyone really enjoyed it, and some said it was one of their favorites.
We’ve run this team of characters for 3 years and are putting them aside for a while, so I told everyone what I loved about their characters and my favorite accomplishments of theirs. We had a great talk about what was working well overall, and honestly I felt amazing afterwards. #TTRPGs

@thedicemechanic Absolutely love #torg and #torgeternity !! The world/setting captured my imagination as a kid and never let go!! I have a near complete West End collection and have been gobbling up all the new books from Ulysses Spiel
Game night tonight, GMing #TorgEternity. We're getting to the end of a long published adventure and we might finish it tonight. After that, not sure if I'm running a shorter story arc I've started working on, or one of my players is going to take over running for a while.
Let's do an #introduction:
I'm middle-aged, #gay / #queer cis he/him, #bear-ish #fat, a non-corporate #webdev in #California living with my fiancé and cat. Our collection of #boardgames is ridiculous.
I'm currently GMing #TorgEternity, playing #dnd5e, and was recently playing #BladesInTheDark. I've been a #ttrpg player for 40 years(!), and am a once and future pandemic hobbyist Twitch streamer. Video games with ghosts are a fave.
