Going this speed at elevation also makes the render distance / LoD a lot more obvious lol - never realized how bad it was until now, even at high-ish settings

So far, I really dig the #battletech Aces set. The automated opponent decks are pretty good! It can be tough to make schedules work for a #wargaming session, but Aces lets me play whenever I have the time.
This morning I tried to sneak an Annihilator around a corner after losing initiative, and was somewhat surprised that the enemy swarmed it, ignoring other, less dangerous mechs. They melted the armor off and blew him up the next round.

3 Granite: I was hanging out at the Golden Spice Tavern, listening to stories. So many people were traumatized by the Troglodyte incident a few years ago. So I had an idea to improve our defenses near the underworld. I immediately started sketching plans for a battle mech to guard us. It’ll have 8 bolt throwers and places for crossbowman as well.

I've seen grognards argue that vtols are a part of aerotech and were designed to be used alongside the rest of aerotech and thus shouldn't be in the total warfare sourcebook. I should have asked the guy if he ever adds vtols to his aerotech lists #battletech
