Mechs I have the most duplicates of:
Timber Wolf (Mad Cat) x5
Bane (Kraken) x3
Locust IIC x3
Marauder x3
Nova (Black Hawk) x3All of these were from at least one salvage box pulls. 2 each for the Nova and Timber Wolves.
No complaints, just funny.
I could run an Oops all Timber Wolf Star.

Look, if you're a #Battletech / #Mechwarrior fan, we're living in the period leading to the Ares Conventions being put into place.

I remember a poll once that asked 'do you think of yourself as a robot?'
I understood it was a fun 'you might be autistic' type questiion because i had seen similar before and recognised some of the pixels.I couldn't answer it.
It hadn't said *when*Walking with purpose i'm a timberwolf mech. My legs go in the direction i'm moving, my torso rotates to track the objective, i don't rotate at my neck.
Driving, i'm a transformer chosing not to stomp traffic today - maybe Prowl, maybe Miirage depending on how much i'd rather be elsewhere.
Coding, i'm a brain in a mainframe.
Manipulating stuff, i'm the robot arm you plugged into the bbc micro at school but with a worn actuator.
Around people i'm a battered C3 protocol droid having a hard time of it.I explained this to my wife who said it's remarkable how good my protocol droid is that i'm only getting diagnosed at 45.

30+ years later MechWarrior 2's planetary mission startup still gives me goosebumps. never heard a better Betty/voice warning system voice in a game since this one, period.
just seeing a dos game running in 1024x768 in 1995 was an awe-inspiring experience

I like a good life path. Helps give background to characters and being them to life right from the start.
Other examples I can think of include Mechwarrior and HOL.
My favorite HOL random event is “God blamed you, personally, for the death of his only son. You are cursed.”
